> 3 dayThe only reason for the four stars is the price: this is overpriced as a package. The oil and cream work amazing and they are amazing products. The applicator is twice as expensive as other good brands. The reason I bought it is because it comes with a cap for the sponge. I wanted something to set it in that would be mess free. The cap isn’t worth $10, but I didn’t see anything else that came with one. As far as effectiveness, I actually like the applicator a lot. Rags are a pain to clean after and so I usually used my hands to rub the oil and cream into the board. I find that the applicator works well and that I actually can use less product for the same results. Again, probably not worth it as a package, but certainly convenient.

20-11-2024Product smells great and is easy to use. I take my bamboo board, make sure its clean and dry, and apply the oil. Your board will be out of commission for a full day so make sure you have an alternate cutting soarce. Once its absorbed wipe off excess, then add the cream and let your board sit another day. Supposed to do it once a month but I usually go longer. Restores the board to looking like new again.

Greater than one weekExcellent pair of products. No smell. Bought to condition new cutting boards. Kind of pleasant to do. Happy with results.

> 3 dayWe put in butcher block counter tops recently. I decided to use Boos because it is nontoxic and made with bees wax. Water beads up, it was easily absorbed and easy to apply. The wood grain looks really nice. Because the countertop was new I applied the wax several extra times as my environment is very dry.

> 3 dayA sample if the Mystery Oil came with my cutting board, so I knew what I was getting there. The wax product was good, I even used it on a butcher block kitchen cart I have. The issue is the packaging. The tube split open at the seal on the end when I squeezed it out the first time. I just adapted and squeeze it the big hole in the wrong end. Like I said, the product us great. The packaging needs improvement.

> 3 dayI say second stage because this is used after the first stage is applied with BOOS Mystery Oil on all surfaces top, bottom, and sides of my two large BOOS Cutting Blocks. A thin coat of oil is allowed to stay on the block for at least 8 hours and better if 24 hours, then wiped off with paper towel. The BOOS Block Cream is rubbed in on all surfaces and also allowed the same time to penetrate and wipe off. This leaves a water resistant beeswax coating on the wood. Both of my blocks are end grain and the oil/cream penetrates them well and are much kinder on the sharpness of my expensive knives. I service these blocks at least once a month and they stay in like new condition. Highly recommend these BOOS products.

> 3 dayI use both Mystery Oil and Cream Care every month (1st weekend of the month) on my Boss chopping block. It is very easy to use. It is odorless. I generally leave oil over night on Friday and wipe it off Saturday morning; I leave cream on Saturday night and wipe it off Sunday morning. I use a clean wash towel to wipe off oil or cream. After 1.3 years, my chopping block looks great (with no crack) though I cook nearly every day.
