This product is easy to use - apply a thorough coat, allow to soak in overnight, then buff with a clean cloth. It does a fantastic job of refurbishing and protecting wooden items. I used it on a dough bowl, several cutting boards and serving boards. It works like magic!

I own three beautiful Boos cutting boards. But for some reason, I took my time on ordering the Mystery Oil and the Cream. I finally got tired of just seeing it in my Wish List, and bought the combo set. Ive gotta admit, Im really happy with the results Ive been getting. Following an expert chefs advice, I actually treated my blocks with the mystery oil night after night at first. Instead of just treating them once a month. Plus I used it on a few other wooden boards and serving trays in my kitchen. Man, this oil will make the cheapest serving tray look like a piece of art. Plus its easy to apply, as well as the beeswax. But then, I did discover something over time.... The Mystery Oil, well, its not exactly a mystery. There was a veteran cutting board owner that did mention that really any food-grade mineral oil will serve the same purpose as the Mystery Oil. And that does seem to be true. So listen, the Mystery Oil is definitely a five-star product as far as what it does for your cutting boards and other wooden kitchenware that doesnt get washed with soap and water or the dishwasher. But the truth is that you can also buy a bulk amount of food-grade mineral oil at a pretty cheap discount on Amazon, regardless. Am I glad that I got this set? Yep. Would I buy it again? Probably not, if I can get the food-grade mineral oil in bulk for a low price. And I use this stuff liberally, so Im going to be buying it bulk for my three Boos Blocks. But if youre new to cutting board treatments, Id say at least give it a shot.

We use this for our cutting board and our solid wood dining room table. It’s awesome! The oil is thin and perfect for daily cleaning/maintenance, while the thicker conditioner we use once a month to maintain the protective layer to ensure the wood remains healthy. Our cutting board and table look exactly the way they did the day we bought them! Love this product!

I previously posted a very negative review because I like others had received the white label Mystery Oil and the Board Cream with the line marked through and believed it to be counterfeit. I wrote a question to both Amazon and Boos asking if this product was legit or not. Did not receive reply so I returned and re-ordered. When I got a similar product I called the BOOS company directly and spoke with customer service. Fortunately she validated that they are re-working the label and product is legit. Look forward to using on my new board!

Wow!!! This stuff seriously works wonders. I forgot my cutting board even looked like this when it’s being properly cared for. Never going without this stuff again! Would definitely recommend getting the duo of the oil and cream.

Bought for a gift - cutting boards are so hot now and I live using them.

I use this oil on my cutting board and knife rack. It is odorless and easy to use. The 16 oz. bottle of oil has protected my expensive wood block cutting board for seven years. When it finally ran out, I found this duo of the oil and wax (cream) for the same price the oil alone with shipping would have cost. This product came with free S&H, and although the product description said 12 oz. of oil, it is the 16 oz. bottle I purchased seven years ago, so I know it will last that long. The instructions say to use the cream in conjunction with the oil & maybe thats a good idea for new chopping blocks, etc., but I see no need for it with a seasoned board. Instead, I will use the cream on knife handles, etc., which are not flat and therefore not so easy to apply oil. Very good product - very good value.

I have a nice, big Boos Block cutting board. Kept in the garage, except when actually used in the kitchen. Every time the board gets returned to the garage, I lightly sand it with an orbital sander, then oil it overnight, wipe it off, creme it overnight, and again wipe it off. You should hear the comments I get on how great my cutting board looks. It has that new look and feel to it. Totally recommend the oil and the cream.

Keeps my cutting boards looking great. I apply monthly since my boards are used daily. Depending on how much use and how the board looks, I may use one product or the other and sometimes both products. I feel like using hot water for cleaning the boards tends to remove the product over time. It does require a bit of time to let the product soak in.
