> 3 dayIn general it is a product which is worth your money, gives a delicate beautiful color for your board. Just be aware, it took a half bottle to soak 3 Zwilling bamboo boards: big, middle, small.

> 3 dayThere are many such treatments to protect woods from splitting, cracking and drying out. Everything from food-grade mineral oil and bees wax to branded treatments. John Boos makes a very good cutting board treatment and kit.

> 3 dayI have a 10 kitchen island, it wouldnt let the picture post & I used the oil & wax, I purchased a cherry unfinished. I did not spend a fortune on it, but it came out gorgeous! I just ordered more oil & wax to keep it up. It really holds up beautifully & i even usd it on a family heirloom rocker that is over 100 years old & it looks beautiful too. It does everything it says it does.

> 3 dayBoth the liquid and semi-solid wax work well! But that black applicator just sheds and started to crumble first use. Dont bother with it. The wax in the squeeze bottle isnt as easy to get out as youd hope, so youll need to warm it up before trying, same with applying the wax. Great for all your wood kitchen items, not just the Boos.

> 3 dayA friend told me about this product and I tired it and I will use it for the rest of my life. It brought back life to my cutting boards boards that are 50 years old. They look brand new again and I couldnt be happier because they belonged to my parents and are special to me.

> 3 dayGreat product that really nourishes and protects the wood. I also use it as lubricant for my sharpening stone as it’s food safe.

> 3 dayI own three beautiful Boos cutting boards. But for some reason, I took my time on ordering the Mystery Oil and the Cream. I finally got tired of just seeing it in my Wish List, and bought the combo set. Ive gotta admit, Im really happy with the results Ive been getting. Following an expert chefs advice, I actually treated my blocks with the mystery oil night after night at first. Instead of just treating them once a month. Plus I used it on a few other wooden boards and serving trays in my kitchen. Man, this oil will make the cheapest serving tray look like a piece of art. Plus its easy to apply, as well as the beeswax. But then, I did discover something over time.... The Mystery Oil, well, its not exactly a mystery. There was a veteran cutting board owner that did mention that really any food-grade mineral oil will serve the same purpose as the Mystery Oil. And that does seem to be true. So listen, the Mystery Oil is definitely a five-star product as far as what it does for your cutting boards and other wooden kitchenware that doesnt get washed with soap and water or the dishwasher. But the truth is that you can also buy a bulk amount of food-grade mineral oil at a pretty cheap discount on Amazon, regardless. Am I glad that I got this set? Yep. Would I buy it again? Probably not, if I can get the food-grade mineral oil in bulk for a low price. And I use this stuff liberally, so Im going to be buying it bulk for my three Boos Blocks. But if youre new to cutting board treatments, Id say at least give it a shot.
