> 3 dayI have a nice, big Boos Block cutting board. Kept in the garage, except when actually used in the kitchen. Every time the board gets returned to the garage, I lightly sand it with an orbital sander, then oil it overnight, wipe it off, creme it overnight, and again wipe it off. You should hear the comments I get on how great my cutting board looks. It has that new look and feel to it. Totally recommend the oil and the cream.

> 3 dayI previously posted a very negative review because I like others had received the white label Mystery Oil and the Board Cream with the line marked through and believed it to be counterfeit. I wrote a question to both Amazon and Boos asking if this product was legit or not. Did not receive reply so I returned and re-ordered. When I got a similar product I called the BOOS company directly and spoke with customer service. Fortunately she validated that they are re-working the label and product is legit. Look forward to using on my new board!

> 3 dayMy sons made me a custom cutting board for all my heavy cutting. Like Turkey, tri tip, ham ect... When he seen his dad using it he said you need to oil and condition it so b it can last forever. I immediately ordered this set because I want it to last forever. I watched the video and did exactly as they suggested. I bought enough for a life time, this stuff is amazing.

Greater than one weekI used the oil to clean the board when it arrived. Lots of dust and unidentifiable debris came up on the cleaning cloth, so I scrubbed generously until the board came clean. I applied the oil according to directions from Boos, left it overnight to soak in and now the board is clean and hopefully well protected. Maple is very hard wood and the board should now be watertight and easy to clean between uses. Directions are to use the oil once a month.

Greater than one weekIs Mystery Oil really that much better than standard food grade mineral oil thats 80% cheaper? Almost certainly not. In fact I dont know that the composition is any different (its not listed of course). Boos blocks dont come from some magical forest and require unicorn blood for proper maintenance. Naturally theyll recommend their own product, which pads the bottom line. See also: printers and ink cartridges ... Knowing that, I bought it anyway, along with the board cream. I reasoned that as much as I spent on my Boos block, and in consideration of reported issues with splitting and/or warping, I might as well try it as insurance if nothing else, to show that I explicitly followed maintenance instructions in case something does go awry. FWIW, a little goes a long way and this bottle looks like itll last a long time. After that, Ill likely switch to generic food grade oil, but I think its worth it once at least.

> 3 dayI have had a large Boos Butcher Block and three table top blocks for 47 years! I always use the Mystery oil and Board Cream to keep them looking like new, water resistant, and simply beautiful. In addition, Boos Customer Service is also Fantastic!

Greater than one weekWe put in butcher block counter tops recently. I decided to use Boos because it is nontoxic and made with bees wax. Water beads up, it was easily absorbed and easy to apply. The wood grain looks really nice. Because the countertop was new I applied the wax several extra times as my environment is very dry.
