> 3 dayThe knife feels great in my hand, and performed the usual tasks very well. Right out of the box was extremely sharp (shaved my leg hair down to the skin). Love this knife

Greater than one weekI purchased this utility knife for work and it has fulfilled all requirements as expected. Plus it looks mean; which is always a plus. High quality as expected... Its a KA-BAR, and quality is rarely an issue with their products.

> 3 dayThis is the first review Ive written on Amazon. There are a lot of quality items Ive purchased over the years, which Ive never left reviews for, but I felt I had to finally make an exception for this knife. The KaBar is a badass knife hands down. Its sharp, it has a nice weight to it, the grip feels amazing and it looks great. I didnt know what the Kraton G grip would feel like and I assumed it would feel like a hard plastic, similar to a Zy-Ex handle like Cold Steel uses. Thats how it looks in the pictures anyway. The Kraton G grip is more of a hard rubber which really gives it a nice feel and keeps it from slipping out of your hand. I even got the handle wet and it still grips extremely well, not as slippery as others were saying. Whenever I get a new knife, I always attempt to shave a little bit of hair off my arm as a test. Although this knife is very sharp out of the box its not sharp enough to shave with. I definitely dont plan on shaving with it and maybe its not meant to be that sharp, but for general purpose cutting and slicing, the Kabar should perform very well. Overall, this knife feels really solid and balanced in my hand. For an inexpensive, quality knife/cutting tool you cant go wrong here. If anything, Id say to do your research on whether or not you want or need the serrated edge option. I felt I would get more use out of the serrated edge Kabar and its a nice option to have just in case. A non-serrated blade will be a bit easier to hone when the time comes to touch up the blade. And definitely go for the upgraded sheath.
