> 24 hourI was going for a handmade pair of shears from England but they are unavailable thanks to Covid. I got these instead for about half the price and so far so good. They are the tiniest bit long for me, but they are excellent in terms of balance and ease of use, I have sore arthritic hands and I am happy with these. They are micro serrated, so I hope I can get them sharpened when the time comes, I am not a fan of throwing out perfectly useful things. Time will tell.

> 24 hourMy wife sews professionally. She does alterations, repairs, and custom sewing. She stays pretty busy at it, sewing for at least 4 hours nearly every week day. Like many others have mentioned, for a long time we both thought that Gingher scissors were the best. We were loyal to Gingher. Grandma has a wonderful pair of Gingher scissors. But for several years Cindy was unhappy with every one of several new pair of Gingher scissors. Twice we sent scissors in to Gingher for servicing, but they came back no better than when we sent them. They will variously grab in spots, not cut at the very ends of the blades, or be hard to close. Cindy had finally resorted to using a pair of $10 Fiskar scissors, which werent great, but they cut better than the Ginghers. Wanting to help her with this problem, and after reading so many positive reviews, I took it upon myself to order her a pair of Kai Dressmaker Shears that cost $22 back then. She was so happy with them that I quickly ordered three different pair of Kai: the 5-1/2 embroidery scissors, the 8-inch Professional shears; and these 10-inch Professional Shears. Cindy is thrilled with all of them. She says, “They are comfortable to use. They require very little force to cut even heavy fabrics. And they cut the sheerest fabrics just as well. They are sharp, smooth, and cut well right out to the tips of the blades.” I posted our first review of the 8-inch Dressmaker Shears two years ago. Since then Cindy has been using all four pair of her Kai scissors nearly every day. She keeps the 8-inch Professional Shears at her sewing machine. She keeps the 8-inch Dressmaker Shears at the ironing board. She uses the embroidery scissors for snipping thread at the sewing machine. And she keeps these 10-inch Professional scissors for when she needs to cut bulk fabric. Cindy says, “For two years now I’ve been using these scissors every day. The three larger pair cut just as well as when they were new. Only recently, the embroidery scissors have gotten to where they don’t cut so well on the last ½ inch of the tips where I use them constantly to snip thread. It’s finally time to spend another $17 for a new pair of those.” I asked her if she thought the Processional series scissors were worth 4 times the cost of the Dressmaker Shears. Cindy says, “If I only had the cheaper ones, I would be very happy. But I really like the Professional Shears. They just feel more precise, and smooth, and the grip is nicer. I still want both.” A few months after Cindy started using the Kai scissors even Grandma abandoned her Gingher’s. About her Kai scissors she says, “Wow. Now I can’t imagine not having them.” I’m sorry if our effusiveness sounds a little too much like a “Walton Family” story, but I don’t know any other way to try to communicate how good we judge these scissors to be. It is so satisfying to find a really great tool at a reasonable price. It’s just a shame that they aren’t made in America.

> 24 hourI’ve used a lot of scissors over the years and these are hands down the best ever! I’ve used them to cut very thing brass and stainless metals which is very hard to do. They have retained an edge without issues, would recommend for anyone looking for premium scissors. They are also Made in Japan!

> 24 hourMy mother loves these shears, as she has been sewing for over 50 years. She said they slice through denim and heavy fabrics with ease, and if you are not careful, you can ruin you items because they cut so flawlessly and easily. She balked at the price when I told her the cost, but agrees you get good quality when you pay for it. She would recommend these to anyone, and Im glad I got these for a Christmas gift.

> 24 hourSo I bought these Kai Professional Shears for my wife because of a review that I read where someone had rated them top of the line in comparison to all the other shears on the market. Well, out of all the shears and scissors that we have ever owned, the Kai 7250s are certainly number 1. They are tough, built-to-last, and razor sharp. The Japanese steel that they are made out of is incredibly strong and it enables the scissors to keep their edge for years to come. I used to think Gingher were the absolute best, but I would put these higher on the charts because they are tougher and constructed for the professional who is going to need to effortlessly cut through clothes on a daily basis. The rubber handle is dense and heavy. These are true quality! worth it!

> 24 hourWhat a difference! Too early to tell how well they will hold their edge but for now its the best Ive ever used. Light weight (at least they feel that way), balanced, comfortable in my hand and sharp. I cut through Sunbrella plus like it was paper without having to scissor - got on my line and followed it to the end. My Gingher scissors are now a distant second in preference - and theyre pretty good.

> 24 hourI bought a pair of these scissors 3 years ago for my studio and have been using them daily to cut fabric. They still cut like new. They are amazing, Ive tried the Fiskers and Ginghers and they last 6 months at the most before becoming unusable. I highly recommend. I have used these only to cut fabric, so they have never been exposed to paper or other materials that can dull scissors.
