> 3 dayWhen I first received this and I plugged it in the units power measurement didnt work right. It would say 3700 watts and was not correct at all when its on for a period of time. It was on firmware 1.09 I checked for a firmware upgrade but none were available. I dont know how long it takes for the app to see there is an update but eventually it did. It went to firmware 1.12 and the issues with power measurement was fixed. It is nice having a power supply you can program to turn on and off, and also measure the power being used currently and over time. You find some devices in your home are energy vampires even when the power button says its off. My computer speakers for example consumer 25 watts when the power button is off, and 43 when its on. Thats like having several LED light bulbs turned on all the time. Pc monitors and even your desktop PC will also consume r a lot of powered even when it looks like its in a low power state.

31-03-20254 Stars because this helps with scheduling of lights and airstones on my 4 aquariums so they are automatically consistant everyday. I would give this product 5 stars but some days the schedule is not accurate e.g. today my light had to be turned on in the app manually but the other 6 days this week it was completely automated. Not sure why it blips but I wouldnt trust it to automate my filters or anything critical like that.

> 3 dayI really like the overall convenience and aesthetics of this surge protector. The amount of space between each outlet is really nice. I also like how you can turn each outlet on and off individually. The design is really clean. In the end though, I returned this product because the energy monitoring on the one I received wasnt working properly. The numbers I was getting were ridiculous. They did give me a refund, so I have no complaints about their service. With that said, without energy monitoring, I still think it was a great product; I just cant justify the cost for it

> 3 dayThe Kasa platform has proven itself to be reliable. I have developed an interest in monitoring the energy usage, not just controlling the power, of every device in my house. Ive slowly been buying into smart plugs, and I am only interested in ones that enable both functions. I am also very concerned with network integrity. Everything Ive read and experienced so far about Kasa smart plugs has been positive. It would just take one security flaw to shake my confidence in the platform. I have yet not seen any flaws. I now have 3 of these Kasa Smart Power Strips (HS300). The design of the product appears simple on the outside. During setup, the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make it simple for the user is evident. Each plug on the power strip is registered as a separate object in the Kasa app. Once registered in the app, Alexa and Google Home are automatically updated so that if you call its name you can control the power to that object. The app enables easy customization of the name of each object. The Kasa app also allows you to view statistics, such as energy usage, of each object registered that is equipped with energy monitoring capability. I have so far experienced availability issues only when there were legitimate problems with my WiFi network. Once the power strip sees the network signal, it will automatically reconnect to the network. It is not reasonable to expect this product to work in an area where there is a low network signal. One will find themselves having to manually unplug and replug in the power strip to restart it. I am looking forward to more energy monitoring smart products from TP Link on the Kasa platform. I have avoided in-wall smart plugs and switches due to products from other companies which do not have a discipline toward cyber security or have frequent network issues. I think TP Link could be a brand that drives further seamless integration of smart products into my home. I would definitely consider an in-wall smart plug with energy monitoring from Kasa.

> 3 dayI want to say five... I want to say five!!! I really do! I just cant!! Why not? Because even though I have a dedicated 2.4 ghz network *specifically* set up for my smart home devices (better penetration, less noise than the computers and streaming devices pounding the 5ghz networks) this thing insists on disconnecting two or three times a month! Ok, I admit this I have three and the other two work really well, and this one is not exactly near the base station, so I get that the signal may drop once in a while. The issue is when it does, it doesnt ever reconnect!!! I have to physically unplug it/kill the power, and when it comes back up, it happily reconnects to the network. Why they cant say Hey... .we dropped. Lets automatically try to reconnect! is beyond me, but it is soooo infuriating because it controls my computers external monitors and my KVM so when I kill the power, my desktop goes berserk and needs to all be power-cycled itself. Its so bad I had to install a wired-remote-plug so I could just hit a button switch to kill the power to the strip and reconnect it without having to get out of my chair and climb behind my desk yet again. But its so nice looking, with pleasing colors and a great app and great features! I wanted to give it five stars... I really did! But that damn reconnect issue is just too much. So much so I even considered marking this as a three-star. The only reason I didnt is again, I have three of these and the other two work flawlessly (although they are closer to the router.) Fix the reconnect issue and Ill happily put this back to five. I dont mind it going offline every now and then for a minute or two. I mind that it completely disrupts my work flow when it happens, and the only way to fix it is with the hammer of killing all power, not a screwdriver. So close to being great, but not quite. Cmon TP Link... you can fix this with a firmware upgrade! Just make it automatically try to reconnect!!!

> 3 dayBought this to put behind my tv/accessories/lamps. Allows me to power down individual items to limit power draw. Took a minute to figure out the order the plugs were in, but very easy to set up.

> 3 daySo far its been great. Does exactly what is supposed to and setup was simple. I love how you can control each outlet and it has power monitoring. Wish the app was better for routines/skills but it does exactly what I need it to so oh well. I can control it through Alexa and so far no weirdness there. I havent tried the USB ports but Im glad they are there. The cord is a good length and I already had some kasa products so I was used to the features. The app is really simple though. That is both a good thing, for newbies and a not so great thing for power-users. Im already looking at other kasa products so Id definitely recommend this to others.

> 3 dayMy entire reef tank runs on this . You can use a Kasa camera as well for live monitor . The energy usage feature is so important as I can monitor the usage as well if a device is functional or not.

> 3 dayThis little gem was a life saver while I was away on a trip. Had all my bearded dragons accessories plugged in to this power strip. I was able to turn lights and heater on and off while I was away.

Greater than one weekThis is a sturdy solid device and because you don’t have to plug in those large Wi-Fi plugs you can actually use all of the outlets! I have tried many different smart plugs but Kasa has been the easiest set up and become the most dependable brand of smart plug I’ve used over the years! This device also monitors the energy from each plug…awesome! I highly recommend this brand for any smart plug you need!
