> 3 daySeamlessly connected to wifi. I use them to control multiple aquariums and their hardware. I have purchased 3 and would most definitely buy them again. Works with Alexa flawlessly.

> 3 dayI really like the overall convenience and aesthetics of this surge protector. The amount of space between each outlet is really nice. I also like how you can turn each outlet on and off individually. The design is really clean. In the end though, I returned this product because the energy monitoring on the one I received wasnt working properly. The numbers I was getting were ridiculous. They did give me a refund, so I have no complaints about their service. With that said, without energy monitoring, I still think it was a great product; I just cant justify the cost for it

> 3 dayI have several of the TP-Link Kasa Smart Plugs and Bulbs in my home, but this was my first power strip. I use it in my kitchen. The Echo is plugged into the USB (which is always on), and my coffeemaker, espresso machine, tea kettle, LED lamp, and SONOS speaker pair are plugged into the six outlets (you can pair outlets in the Kasa app). So. Let me tell you about this thing. Are you like me and forget to turn off your coffeemaker? Well, you can set a Smart Timer to turn off the coffeemaker after an hour! And I know you might be thinking, my machine already has a timer but the thing about that is this: every single device in your home that has an Instant On feature, a display, a clock, or any sort of remote operating capability, is using power all the time. How can you prevent that? Plug it into one of these. My electrical consumption has steadily dropped since I started using these. Obviously, you have to set the timers up to turn stuff off, but if you do, it will save power, and in the long run, money. The build quality is very nice, although I wouldnt go throwing the thing around, obviously. Also, you can monitor each devices power consumption and on time through the Kasa app (as well as through the Alexa app). Speaking of Alexa, if you have one, the devices are detected immediately and work seamlessly. I cant comment on any other personal assistant, because I only have two Echo dots, but they work very well. You wont be disappointed if you get this. The three plug model is also great if you dont need six outlets. I have both.

> 3 dayI’m not an Alexa user, but I find these pretty handy. Only problem I have is that some of the outlets stops working, the power light lights up but it won’t power anything. Haven’t researched any possible fixes yet, but it’s disappointing especially when one power strip is just a little over a year old

> 3 dayI was skeptical but this is a well designed and easy to use product. I have a bearded dragon and her enclosure has a complex series of lights and heaters -each plug can be programmed separately and with complex settings to allow for the mimic of natural light. I highly recommend.

> 3 dayI use it to control multiple life-support equipment on my saltwater reef aquarium... one of the best investments I made. If you can’t afford an expensive aquarium computer/controller system then this is the next best thing. Every outlet has its own schedule that you can set to turn on and off multiple times per day. For example, I have the filtration system automatically turn off for 5 minutes twice a day, while an automatic feeder provides food for my fish while I’m at work. I also like that it provides energy consumption information for each outlet. If I’m on vacation, I can check in real time throughout the day that the equipment is consuming energy, which lets me know that there hasn’t been a power outage in my house and that the equipment is running properly, so for me this feature is critical. As a side note, a good upgrade they could make would be phone alerts letting you know that the power strip has lost electricity. But this product still provides more than enough value to earn 5 stars. Everything can be controlled remotely, I can turn the outlets on and off manually from literally anywhere and I don’t have to have my phone connected to WiFi. Highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayThis is a great, well-made product. Its very easy to setup using the Kasa phone app. The ability to name each plug and attach a photo is a nice touch. But one of the nicest features is the individual power-usage monitoring on each of the 6 outlets. You can easily look at the real-time power usage for each 0lug as well as its daily and monthly usage. 4 stars only because it would be great if it had a power-cycle feature for a plug (useful for when you need to reset power on the wireless router plugged into the device that the device uses to attach to the internet - if you power off the router, there will be no way to power it back on since connectivity is lost). One sort of clumsy work-around is to set a schedule to turn it off for a minute and then back on the next minute.

> 3 dayI want to give the Kasa smart power strip its due as the best there is. I wrote a far different review less than a month ago panning the strip because while I had four of them working as intended within the Kasa app, the strips plugs were not recognized by the Alexa app. The technical support units of both Kasa and Amazon Alexa pointed fingers at each other. I was dubious of a promise by the latter that a remedy would be forthcoming within a week of my complaint. However, a very effective change was made to the Alexa app user interface and presto all of the plugs were recognized! I just bought a fifth Kasa strip to voice-control various lights and devices on a total of 30 plugs! Everything is working as intended. The TP-Link Kasa smart power strip is the best there is!

03-06-2025Was enjoying the smart features of this power strip for a while, especially the remote control on/off feature, but a storm caused a power outage in my neighborhood. After getting power back, this power strip just refuses to connect to my wifi again via the Kasa app. Ive reset the power strip numerous times by holding one of power buttons on the strip per the instructions but I get the same error message in Kasa cant connect to your wi-fi network. Also tried reinstalling the Kasa app to no avail. Still works as a dumb power strip but I obviously have to physically be present to switch the individual outlets on/off so no different than any other power strip. Not what I bought it for. The devices I had connected to it survived the power outage, so at least the surge protection works as well. Id look elsewhere for a smart power strip however.

> 3 dayI purchased on November 8 from Amazon Warehouse in like new condition. Just received today, opened the box and to my surprise the authentic item has been replaced with a knock-off (see image). Amazon customer service was top-notch, as always; Ive been an Amazon customer since 2003 and a Prime member since the program launched so fortunately I have a long track record of integrity. However, this still upsets me because even if Amazon made it right, Im still part of the chain of this scam as the unlucky person who happened to buy a TP-Link Kasa power outlet and receive the fake product. Amazon customer service told me to donate the fake one, but I threw it out. I would never donate a knock-off product with questionable safety inspection; what if it burns down someones house?! As for the ACTUAL TP-Link Kasa - I love it. I own two, both purchased new from Amazon within the last year. They take a minute to set up, but I love that I can control each outlet from the unit or from the TP-Link app and that it has USB ports as well. I use these for my aquariums, so my CO2 and lights can be controlled on different on/off schedules. Bonus: you can monitor energy use! I cant vouch for how accurate it is, but it would be helpful to calculate operating expenses if I wanted to turn my hobby into a side business. Note: the 3-outlet version of the Kasa power strip doesnt allow you to monitor energy use in the full extent that this one does. All in all, I still want/need my third power strip, but I wouldnt chance buying it from the Warehouse again. Its unclear to me why Amazon doesnt have quality control of their Warehouse items (ESPECIALLY electronics!) I would just purchase it new. At the time I bought mine, there were 16 available in the same condition. Im not sure if all of those were scam items or just mine. I just want to warn others because this was a huge disappointment.
