> 24 hourUnfortunately, I have to agree with the reviews that state this drive is just too slow to write. The text USB 3.0 speeds in the product description must be considered false advertising. Im getting between 2 and 8 MB per second in a USB3 port. That doesnt even approach a USB2 equivalent speed. Its not like this is my only flash drive; I know how quickly the data should be transferring with this hardware. (Surely Kingston didnt think we wouldnt notice...?) As others have shown with their metrics, this drive is just painfully slow. At least it was cheap, I guess. And eventually, it holds the data you put on it. So its semi-useful... as long as youre not waiting for it to finish writing before you can move on with your next task. Would not buy again.

> 24 hourI used these to back up my prone-to-failure hard drive before installing a new computer. I was able to transfer everything needed on only one flash drive. Works well and good price.

> 24 hourWhen I get flash drives, I typically go with Kingston. Theres not too many companies I would say have gained a brand loyalty from me, but Kingston has been one of them. Over the last 10 years, Ive had three Kingston drives, including this one, and they all still work (I just use them for different tasks), and Ive always managed to get them at a reasonable price. Its a flash drive, theres not a whole lot to say about it, but it works, and Ive had a pretty good track record with other Kingston products in the past.

> 24 hourCertain types of files will take a while. Its not a fast drive. But I bought it so that I could transfer folders between computers. So it does the job. However, its as slow as a USB 2.0 drive.

> 24 hourI have used Kingston memory products for years and never experienced a failure. This flash drive in all capacities is an excellent buy for a USB 3.0, and is even cheaper than it was when I bought it about six months ago. Since I am always losing the covers on flash drives, the non-detachable cover is a huge plus for me. I think it may have a lifetime warranty like Kingstons memory sticks. Very fast even in a USB 2.0 port. I bought it to use as a dedicated OSX installation drive because an 8GB was unavailable. Now it is so cheap that buying it is a no-brainier if you want a fast, high-quality and heavily-constructed flash drive that will not die or lose your data.

> 24 hourThese are perfect for saving Windows 10 Restore/Start Up files, which need a minimum of 8GB. I figured, for the money, these 16GB are a pretty good value...theyre over the size, but other important files could be stored as well. I just keep this in a safe place for each computer. Thankfully, I havent needed to use any of them yet since Windows 10 (August 2016 and later) works great with no major problems thus far.

> 24 hourThere is not much to dislike, the only bad thing that happened to it was that the metal part of the USB bent a bit, fast transfer speeds, durable, and great price for the storage capacity.
