> 3 dayThis is an entry-level USB 3 drive and as such outperforms entry-level USB 2 drives. Ive used this model in 16, 32, and 64 GB capacities and never had any problems. I reformatted a couple to exFAT in order to store files larger than 4 GB and used them with televisions to watch high-definition movies. It performs noticeably faster when connected to a USB 3 port compared to USB 2. In the terminal, even rudimentary operations like find and ls are much faster on directories with many files when this device is connected via USB 3. The slide cover is convenient and stays locked into position. The attachment point for lanyards or key chains is too small. I was only able to use a thin plastic wire tie with it. For the ten dollars I paid, it was a good deal.

> 3 dayThese are perfect for saving Windows 10 Restore/Start Up files, which need a minimum of 8GB. I figured, for the money, these 16GB are a pretty good value...theyre over the size, but other important files could be stored as well. I just keep this in a safe place for each computer. Thankfully, I havent needed to use any of them yet since Windows 10 (August 2016 and later) works great with no major problems thus far.

Greater than one weekI bought this looking for a basic USB 3.0 thumbdrive and what I got was a device slower than my old USB 2.0 devices I already have. It is marketed as COMPATIBLE with USB 3.0 but every USB stick is compatible. It has all the pins for 3.0 but the internal flash memory reads and writes at speeds slower than my old 2.0 drives I have lying around. I expected better from a Kingston product. It was cheap is the best feature

> 3 dayI wasnt paying enough attention to the fact that this drive didnt have a light on it so, if thats important to you, pick another one. However, besides that, its working just fine for me. Im currently using it as a drive containing all the system repair tools and OS install .iso files that I could ever need.

> 3 dayThis review is for the 16gb usb 3.0 model. The sliding mechanism is stiff at first use, but seems durable. Feels a bit light and cheap but for the price its very good. i bought mine to use to conduct linux installs. The speeds are decent for the price. If i can find my crystalmark test data i will upload update this review, but for now i can say that the speeds are as expected given the other reviews on amazon with crytalmark images.

> 3 dayClouds, Smouds... I have all my photos going back 60 years stored on one of two of these memory sticks. I keep one in the safe deposit box and swap them with an updated version every 3 or 4 months. The Kingston Digital 64GB is fast and I like the built in cap. Im not sure I have the same security and peace of mind with a cloud. I was unable to use Amazons cloud as they wanted to put all 60 years of photos in ONE directory. I use directories to sort by year and month.

> 3 dayIve bought quite a few USB thumb drives from Kingston. I have yet to have any of them fail. This 128 GB is my most recent and has a pretty good capacity. The only complaint I have with this model is that the write speed sometimes seems to be relatively slow, even though the read speed is what i would expect from USB3.0. Im not sure if thats a USB3.0 issue or just something with this hardware.

> 3 dayIts laughable to think they can call this usb 3.0, more like 3.slow . 11 min to transfer a 30 mb folder, really ? By comparison I tried to transfer the same folder to a 2.0 drive, it took 20 second. The read speed isnt any better. Select to preview, you get the spinning beachball for 10 second then the file shows up. About the only thing good about this is its storage size. Do yourself a favor and pay a bit more for one that actually does what it says.
