> 3 dayHolds a lot of data, well maybe not by todays standards, but more than enough to make transfering data from one PC to another a lot easier. Have had no problems with this. I have used Kingston memeory and USB drives for years now and they are a trusted brand for me.

> 3 dayIt does what I need it to do and doesnt disappoint in any way. Ideal for bootable Linux, since distros get updated frequently enough. (Side note: I realize that typical bootable Linuces require less than 8 GB. The 16 GB drives are actually cheaper than the 8 GB 1s. Go figure!) There are faster USB 3.0 thumb drives but the price blows anything else out of the water. No cap to lose either.

> 3 dayI see a lot of complaints here about how slow this stick is. For me on my USB 2.0 desktop machines and TVs, its plenty fast and just as fast as the others in read mode. Its really small size and flip/click open/close with no end cap is a real bonus on this. The lettering on it does not stand out either like on other Kingston sticks. I like how it cannot really be seen on the side panel on my Samsung HD TV. I also find those usb external hard drives go bad quick and now use this stick also as a 64GB external hard drive. Gonna buy more!

> 3 dayToo wide of body. Fair write speeds for the buck 18.6+ MB/s. Kingston is one of my go to brands for value and reliability. For the price these are good for bootable drive use and such. Buy better for moving files or backing up pics.

> 3 dayI wasnt paying enough attention to the fact that this drive didnt have a light on it so, if thats important to you, pick another one. However, besides that, its working just fine for me. Im currently using it as a drive containing all the system repair tools and OS install .iso files that I could ever need.

> 3 dayI know these are to be cheap drives, so for $4 i cant complain too much, but these guys are SLOW on writes, saying these are usb 3.0 drives is a joke, as they arent even usb 2.0 speed limited. if you plan to write to these guys once and then only read from them, i guess they aint too bad, but its gonna take ~30 mins to write that 16gb to it.

Greater than one weekI have used Kingston memory products for years and never experienced a failure. This flash drive in all capacities is an excellent buy for a USB 3.0, and is even cheaper than it was when I bought it about six months ago. Since I am always losing the covers on flash drives, the non-detachable cover is a huge plus for me. I think it may have a lifetime warranty like Kingstons memory sticks. Very fast even in a USB 2.0 port. I bought it to use as a dedicated OSX installation drive because an 8GB was unavailable. Now it is so cheap that buying it is a no-brainier if you want a fast, high-quality and heavily-constructed flash drive that will not die or lose your data.

24-11-2024I purchased this for my son to use on his computer for game/other storage. Kingston advertises that this USB has 64GB of storage. But, when he ran a test on it, it only shows 57GB available storage. I understand that a small amount, maybe 1-2GB, might be used for various things by Kingston. But, to use up 7GB of storage on this device is too much. If you advertise 64GB, it should actually have 64GB available storage. This USB works fine as it comes, for storing individual files under 4GB, without having to make any changes in settings. My son had to use Windows command run prompt, to change to NTFS, in order to store individual files that are over 4GB. If a file is over 4GB, the formatting of the USB won’t allow it to be stored, unless you make these changes in settings. The writing speed is fairly fast. He said it reached up to 24.9MBS. Has place on one end to hook to chain or key ring.
