This review is for the 16gb usb 3.0 model. The sliding mechanism is stiff at first use, but seems durable. Feels a bit light and cheap but for the price its very good. i bought mine to use to conduct linux installs. The speeds are decent for the price. If i can find my crystalmark test data i will upload update this review, but for now i can say that the speeds are as expected given the other reviews on amazon with crytalmark images.

This 128GB Kingston thumb drive has held any storage I have needed to keep on it for the past year and a half. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I was alarmed and surprised to read reviews about problems with thumb drives by almost all manufacturers. I had an old DataTraveler that performed just fine (as have a multitude of thumb drives in my possession) so I decided to give this one a try. Just fine for me. No issues.

These are perfect for saving Windows 10 Restore/Start Up files, which need a minimum of 8GB. I figured, for the money, these 16GB are a pretty good value...theyre over the size, but other important files could be stored as well. I just keep this in a safe place for each computer. Thankfully, I havent needed to use any of them yet since Windows 10 (August 2016 and later) works great with no major problems thus far.

This is an entry-level USB 3 drive and as such outperforms entry-level USB 2 drives. Ive used this model in 16, 32, and 64 GB capacities and never had any problems. I reformatted a couple to exFAT in order to store files larger than 4 GB and used them with televisions to watch high-definition movies. It performs noticeably faster when connected to a USB 3 port compared to USB 2. In the terminal, even rudimentary operations like find and ls are much faster on directories with many files when this device is connected via USB 3. The slide cover is convenient and stays locked into position. The attachment point for lanyards or key chains is too small. I was only able to use a thin plastic wire tie with it. For the ten dollars I paid, it was a good deal.

I bought this 64GB USB drive to back-up my back-up of photos since you can never have too many back-ups of those precious pics... so, in terms of value and capacity, it is great. However, it is a little larger than typical USBs and it wouldnt fit next to my wireless mouse receiver, or next to the input from my external HD when plugged in, so I ended up buying a USB C to USB receiver (see the second pic) so that I could use the USB C drive on my laptop (my laptop has only 2 USB As and 1 USB C). Im transferring pics as I type this from my external HD to the USB at a rate of about 15 MB/s so backing up 50GB of pics is going to take hours, but it works, its cheap and it gives me some peace of mind. Im deducting 1 star because the case is a bit large, but overall a great value. Just keep in mind that it could be a tight fit if most of your USB ports are already in use. So far so good and I would buy it again.

I bought 4 of these, 2 8GB, and 2 16GB so I could send movies, music, etc. to my Ex. They work great, I havent tested the read/write speed, but it seems reasonably quick to me. They get used on a Chromebook with no internet access, and it serves the purpose for both of us, she gets to watch and listen to her movies and music with an ease of use with no internet access, they get mailed back and forth, and beats burning CDs/DVDs. The 5 year warranty with the Kingston name sold me, and I havent been disappointed, and they get treated a little rough.

Kingston Digital 128GB DataTraveler is a good value for the money. The 128 GB appears to be the set standard for now. The memory stick is a little bigger than I wanted in terms of size. A competitor does make a similar size memory stick that is quite small and easy to use. However, I had catastrophic failer with that memory stick. Kingston has software that will recover and rejuvenate your memory stick should it be corrupted. That is why I recommend this product.
