> 3 dayPurchased at Home Depot. What a piece of junk. (MSRP just shy of $50) There are lots of cheap $20-$30 non-branded items that do the same thing (Practically Nothing). Spend some time and flip breakers. (This takes just as long and both methods really need 2 people to go quickly.) I was expecting more. (If I find my packaging its going back.) I may still take it back to Home Depot w/o packaging. Pros: So this tool will let you plug into an actively powered receptacle & then at the breaker panel, it will give you fairly good indication of which breaker that receptacle is connected to. It includes a special transmitting poorly color coded GCFI testing tool, as if you really needed another one. (Klein RT500 $15) Cons: #1) It will not give you an indication of a live wire. (Klein NCVT-2 Non Contact Tester $20) #2) It will not connect to bare wires nor a light socket. (Klein 69411 Circuit Breaker Finder Accessory Kit $13) #3) It does not include AFCI testing. (Klein RT310 AFCI/GFCI Outlet Tester $47) #4) It does not include a bag. (Klein 69401 Multi-meter Carrying Case $10) #5) To my knowledge you cant trace a line with the breaker off. (Klein VDV500-808 Tone & Probe $70) #6) Tone generator is so weak that you cannot trace the wire path even with on exposed NM-B. #7) Trace tool did not indicate at the breaker panel that two branch circuits where linked by a poor wiring job. --more comments on items above-- #1) Not a big deal as I trust/use a FLUKE one. (But why not build into the tool?) #2) I can build this kit for $5 at the dollar store, probably cost them $2 plus $4 for packaging/shelf space. #3) I dont have an AFCI tester and I would bet most people dont either. I could have used that feature. #4) Again the bag cost them about $1 plus $4 for packaging/shelf space. #5) Wanted to use my tone & probe (Old Greenlee), but couldnt find it. This Klein tool doesnt replace a Tone/Probe. #6) This is what killed it for me. I have 4 yellow NM-B and would like to know which circuit is which. #7) Circuits linked after a GCFI. I only found b/c I tripped the wrong circuit when testing with GCFI tool.

Greater than one weekFound that it would give false readings on one of circuit breakers with a very loud tone. Turned that breaker off and power was still on. I then tested to a 2 in one breaker with 2 15 amp circuits using the space of one circuit breaker, the tracer did give a weak audible sound, but it was now the correct breaker. I found my other 2 in one breakers did not have this issue. Its possible somewhere wires are crossed in my old house. Just make sure you have the correct circuit breaker! Otherwise, the tracer saves a bunch of aggravation when circuits are random throughout my house. Labeling on my circuit breaker panel is Not specific to areas of my house.

> 3 dayA tool that everyone should own even if youre a DIY or professional, this tool saves so much time searching a circuit and keeps you safer doing so, cost is very low and is so easy to use, I highly recommend getting the accessories even if you think you dont need them, someday you may! I purchased everything including the separate Klein RT250 circuit tester and a carry case which holds all items securely. Buy it and you wont regret it
