> 3 dayWhen you purchase a lower-priced product, your expectations are low, however, I was delighted to learn that the product performed as well as the highest-priced product. Looks good too.

> 3 dayThis is superior quality compared to other competing inexpensive brands in its price range. It is like getting the Stanley standard of quality at a far more affordable price. I need a solid tape measure with an excellently designed locking mechanism functioning as it should with the tape study and not wobbly at just a few feet. It needs to withstand being dropped occasionally on a concrete floor or foundation. My old metal Stanley is awesome, but I misplaced it. I have hobbled along with several cheap replacements, because I am on a tight budget. Wary about buying this in used condition from Amazon Warehouse, I decided to give it a shot, because if it is used and still works as well as the reviews claim, then I will have gotten a bargain. Well, the reviews were right so far. Compared to others in its price range even at full price this Komelon is an outstanding product that actually makes me less concerned about whether the Stanley will ever turn back up. If I ever lose this one, I will buy another just like.

Greater than one weekI admit Im an amateur at using measuring tape for longer distances, and I should not have pulled this past the redline where it says STOP. That being said, if you do this once and the tape breaks and the mechanism snaps and makes your measuring tape useless after one try, you should not be in the business of making measuring tape anymore. I remember as a child, playing with measuring tape I exceeded that red line many times with more generic products, and I dont remember it breaking until long term wear down and pulling. This felt like itll the tape was attached to a piece of used to dental floss that snapped on a slight tug. The fact that there is no break mechanism and it is so delicate, tells me this product is by definition, planned obsolete.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace an old tape measure that had stopped retracting. It does the job just fine. It extends, it locks, it measures, and it retracts. Does what a tape measure is supposed to do and is inexpensive enough that if it breaks in a few months I wont be too upset. Overall a good value.

> 3 dayI thought this was a great purchase until the lock mechanism jammed--after only a few months of occasional use. I cant recall anymore exactly how it happened, but all I know is I pulled out the metal tape to measure something fairly long, and I was unable to retract it. Possibly the weight of the tape when extended for more than a foot or so was too much for the tape to handle without warping; that would be my guess.
