LOVE these water colors! I ordered a smaller set and then HAD TO HAVE the larger one. Highly recommend. Just lovely and fun to work with!!

Ive been using Winsor/Newton Cotman paints because people told me they were high quality, but these Kuretake watercolors are far superior! The vividness of the colors, the excellent blending, and user-friendliness of the paints are fantastic. With my Cotman paints, I was always disappointed with the results when I followed painting tutorials because the paints simply did not behave how they ought - faint colors, poor quality of/or utter failure to blend, and poor performance on having that beautiful, naturally unpredictable watercolor look when they dried. The Kuretake paints answer all these failings wonderfully, and I couldnt be happier. Initially I was concerned that there wasnt a lot of paint in the trays since they are only about half full, but Ive been painting with them for a couple weeks and havent started running out yet. These paints are also very affordable, to top it all off. I expect to buy more in the future!

I LOVE these watercolors They are so so so pigmented and easy to dilute and just are beautiful and make my art so much prettier! I bought it cos I have a basic watercolor set and a travel winsor newton set, but I’m taking a college course in water color and didn’t want to spend over 100 bucks on paint tubes. Did my research and liked the way these looked on paper and the large pans for lots of trial and error for learning. Needless to say I am very satisfied with it!

The metallic colors are really nice, buildable, easily becoming opaque. Some colors are quite opaque, while others are very translucent. Packaging is in another language...you can do a color chart on the back of the cover, since many of the colors due not appear in the pan as they do on paper. Packaging is cute, and pans are removable, (thick plastic pans). Convenient, unique, and well-priced. I cant speak on light-fastness. Colors are vibrant, but not bright like watercolor from the tube.

These paints are really worth the money. So pigmented, awesome quality. I love this set. Box came a little banged up because it was shipped in bubble wrap but the paints themselves were fine. Highly recommend.

I loved that youre able to pop out the colors and take them where ever you want. The only thing I dont like is that there isnt a big range of browns or skin tones but overall theyre reliable.

Very fluid, true color, very rich, doesnt stick to the paper, I use these in addition to my tube colors. Decent pricing, seems like watercolors are going up in price, and being on a fixed income, pricing comes first and foremost along with the action of the paint- will it wash out??, not these... Highly recommend

SUCH SATURATION! These are incredibly high quality-watercolours for a confusingly (but happily so!) low price. If youre a novice or use watermedia in your daily practice as a professional, I cannot recommend these enough. Definitely going to be purchasing additional sets to send to other painters in my life--you cannot go wrong with this set.
