Amazing paints! The perfect medium between watercolor and gouache, you can create a skew towards whichever you prefer depending on amount of water used. The colors are amazing.

So rich in color! Absolutely in love! The colors are really bright but can be played with to dim down if thats what you need. It doesnt take much to activate the colors either. Def with the price and enjoying painting with it. The pallet is huge, keep this in mind with your work space.

Just one word: love! Very vibrant colors Only thing that may be problem for some, is that they dry really glossy. Im on a mission though to find a good primer to prevent a glossy shine!

these are AMAZING watercolors, and possibly the only set that Ill be using from now on. If you are someone who likes rich, creamy pigments, this is for you. They do require a light hand because the consistency is so pigmented, but if you learn how to manipulate them well, they can be sheered out to perfection as well. I highly encourage everyone to do the swatches on the back of the lid before playing with them on any real drawing projects because it helps you get a feel for the colors. The range is absolutely stunning on these. You do have to be careful though, because they are staining watercolors and dont lift up or push away very easily. I would also recommend working in sections, because even with a copious amount of water, they set and they set fast and with lines. Im not too fond of lines in my work, so I try to blend out as much as I can, as fast as I can. The metallics are comparable to the calligraphy inks you get from dr ph martin, even; they are so opaque and shimmery without being glittery and chunky. The colors are beautiful and saturated, and theres a TON of product in here, so Im not even sure how much artwork youd have to do to use them all up. For the price, these are absolutely unbeatable. In fact, if this were even DOUBLE the price of what theyre selling today, I would pay for it, i think the paints are that good. Theyre absolutely professional grade paints, and Ive fallen in love! I hardly even do reviews, but this was so wonderful I HAD TO write something about it.

Absolutely gorgeous colors! I bought this in April and have been using this fairly regularly and still have so much paint left in the pans. Definitely worth the price! A little different than western watercolors because the binder is different, so thick glazes actually come out a little shiny. I think its a nice effect that can be added, but its all personal. The 3 metallics included in the set are also absolutely amazing and create wonderful opaque shimmering effects. All the paint in the attached paintings is Kuretake.
