Holy cow, did these ever live up to the hype. I work with a number of different sorts of watercolor media, and Ive been wary of pan watercolors for far too long. Cheaper ones are often just...awful, not nearly pigmented enough, and hard to work with. But not this set! Oh my goodness, these are some pigment rich paints! They are absolutely delightful to work with. They blend beautifully, they thin down beautifully, and they cover beautifully. Theyre quite different from the tube watercolors Ive tried - frankly, I like these much better. Theyre easier to get the color juuuust right. Stop dithering, and just treat yourself to these fantastic little paints. Youll be glad you did! (Side note: I was worried about cracked pans, having read the comments. My paints arrived in absolutely perfect condition - no cracks, no bubbles, just gorgeous. Also, they are surprisingly HUGE.)

Beautiful, vibrant colors I love. Not 100% happy about how they pack on top of each other. Sometimes instead of getting darker, it wipes off the bottom layer. If you pay attention and heat set between layers though, it generally works out

I bought this set because I read the amazing reviews it had so I decided to take a look by myself. Im SO glad I bought them. Colors are so pigmented. with one drop of water you get such an intense color. I totally reccomend buying this set!

It takes some practice if you are a beginner as these are very rich pigmented, but you can definitely tell the difference from cheaper water colors. This set was a great value for money!

Love this Japanese Gansai. Amazon had the best price at the time I ordered this. Very impressed with the quality for the price you pay!! They are as transparent as traditional watercolor and very bright. I dont feel differences between traditional watercolor and gansai except that the price is much lower. They flow very nicely on the papers just like traditional watercolor. Easy to use too, you dont need to prep, just wet the brush, pick a color and start painting. They mix with other colors well too, just like traditional watercolor paints. Absolutely loving it!
