I have had this fan for around 2 years and I use it in my bedroom. All the settings are really strong and loud but it works perfectly as white noise to help me sleep and my puppy also likes the fan. It is a little heavier and annoying to move around, but it has not had any more complications for me. Im sure it will last for many more years.

Do not buy a bunch of box fans. Get 1 of these and WOW! Cheers! No Remote Control. Like we need another remote control. TV, DVD, Blu Ray, Play station, Home theater AV unit, STOP !!!! No More Remotes.

Very powerful. I use it in my room and absolutely love it now let’s see if it lasts longer than my last fan that I got from Walmart.

Yup it’s as fantastic as the previous reviewers. It is a bit loud, but nothing that you can’t manage. We have it in our kitchen facing our family room and it keeps the entire room cool. We initially purchased it for a dog kennel and realized that it’s powerful enough for the entire room including their dog kennel.

Purchased this for a poorly ventilated room in the home I am renting until I can afford a mortgage alongside my student loan debt. I couldn’t be happier with the performance of the fan. The room in question is roughly 85 degrees Fahrenheit and thanks to this fan I barely notice when I’m cranking away on my computer. Many people complain about the noise but I don’t mind it and don’t typically even notice it most of the time. Admittedly that could be down to a lifetime spent with the white noise of a fan in the background. Overall it’s a sturdily built machine, with great air flow and I’m much more confident in this fan versus the plastic Lasko units. I’m of two minds about the lack of a remote control, one one hand it would be a nice convenience. On the other it’s just another failure point and getting up from your seat every now and again is good for you.

I had the same exact model for around three years and if Im sleeping its on. After three years (around 9,000 hours of use) it still runs great but was not as fast on high as the new one. It turns my bedroom into a cyclone. TONS of air movement. Yes, it had some volume on high which is why I purchased this model again. Perfect white nose with a gentle airplane engine hum. I have also used this outside on our deck at night to keep mosquitoes away from the hot tub. It sits back about 12 feet from the tub and does a great job. There are cheaper fans, but I wouldnt buy anything else to save a few bucks knowing Lasko is a proven, and durable product.
