> 3 dayIt works for paper priming. I wanted to practice acrylic art but I have mostly watercolor paper and board. This stuff helps make it easier for smoother acrylic painting on paper.

Greater than one weeki just got into art and wanted to take the next step and make my own canvases. it can be so much money buying a pre stretched canvas on its own. and you feel guilty when you mess up. not anymore. i stretch everything now and i can have fun. This product is great. i usally do two coats. one coat just brushing up and down, then the other coat going left and right. this way i know for sure the product goes inside all the fibers of the canvas it is a need for any artist

> 3 dayI love this product. I am painting on glass bottles with acrylics, so I was afraid they wouldnt be opaque with out many many layers. So I decided to invest in this to save paint, and to create some texture. It didnt provide as much texture as desired, but I also didnt try to do a second coat. Overall, I love this product, and I will buy again when I run out. And probably in a larger container. I can also take a whack at making my own canvases! So excited.

> 3 dayHave bought this product before in smaller size and liked it so thought I would buy in a gallon size because I do a lot of painting. But how are you suppose to take the top off? I would Not buy this in the gallon size again!

Greater than one weekIt works really good for the canvas boards I use. It’s a very forgiving base coat for people just starting out painting, as well as seasoned artists.

> 3 dayI’ve been using this gesso to prime my canvases and wooden rounds for my acrylic pours. I found it fairly easy to use even without instructions, pour a small amount on the canvas, spread it with a palette knife, and take off the excess. So far I’ve noticed that my paintings have had less of that canvas texture peeking through which was what I bought it for, so that’s a solid five in my book.

> 3 dayI usually by the professional gesso. This “basic” smells slightly so I’m more comfortable with extra ventilation. Good coverage. Perfect for beginners and art journaling.

> 3 dayIt’s cheap and works fine as compared to other expensive gesso. So yes I do recommend it
