Liquitex Professional Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 3.78L (128-oz), Clear

This product is gritty and feels and looks like sand. I am wondering if this products sat on a shelf for a while. Not able to use it.

A very thick gesso. I have to water it down, otherwise it tends to texturise my paper or canvass.

Fabulous product, covers pretty well and goes a long way

Good Standard Acrylic gesso for most mediums. This is not true gesso but the acrylic equivalent. True gesso contains animal hide glue precipitated chalk, marble dust etc... and is suited for egg tempera on wooden or rigid panels.

This does NOT dry clear, it dries white.

This gesso worked great. I had a green paper backed canvas for a mural job. The green color was maintained with just a slight matte overlay. It left a great surface that allowed smooth strokes. The gesso went futher than I anticipated so there is plenty left for more projects.

Good primer, works as expected

This is the best clear gesso there is. Better price here than department store.
