Little Tikes Cozy Truck Ride-On with removable floorboard

So as mentioned by others roof is tricky to put together. I tried following the directions twice. One of the rear supports went in fine the other wouldnt line up, and left a gap. I took everything apart and tried a different approach, which I found to work better. Lay the roof on its top and insert the rear roof supports, once they are in place and the seams and edges line up correctly secure them in place with the screws provided. Now go back and follow the steps to attach the roof to the front cab supports, the rear supports should be flexible enough to slide inside the cab area. If the front supports dont lock into place right away they will when you lift,the rear supports into place. After doing this everything should be lined up properly. Also put as many stickers as you can on before assembly begins, its a lot easier to put the grill stickers on when the grill is laying flat on the kitchen table. As others have said there are some holes that are not predrilled, but in an age where a cordless drill is $30 what is your excuse for not having one? Overall I found this easy to assemble, and my son should get years of fun out of it. I have tried to make it a bit more real by not installing the eyes or the mouth sticker in the grill. A quick trip to the junk yard scored me a 2003 Ram hood badge and two HEMI fender badges which with some automotive molding tape should make it a proper first truck. I found those fit best as a set, though Im sure a blue oval or bowtie will fit on the grill as well. Finally this is a Christmas present, I gave me son the box, today a month early. He isnt two yet and therefore doesnt realize what the box means for him. This way he has a month of box time, and on Christmas morning you wont have to watch your child play with the box instead of the toy. I recommend this to all!

My boys loved this car

We just gave this to our 1 year old for Christmas and it is such a big hit. It took us less than an hour to put together (me and my husband) and the directions were so easy to follow. It is made of tough plastic so I dont see it getting damaged. We put a big bow on it under the tree and he walked right over to it and immediately starting playing with it. The whole day we kept saying this is by far the best Christmas gift ever... it glides so smooth with a little spot for parents to put their hands to push with ease. It looks adorable and is a good size that we could see him playing with it for years. I would also recommend this toy for girls too... I would have loved to have a truck to play house with or grocery store. It has the cutest little tailgate that our son throws all his toys into... once its closed it cant really open it because it requires a good tug but soon enough. The only con that we can see is the eyes on the truck are too high that they block his view of the road. So we just snapped them off and put them away to reattach them once he gets a little taller. Oh and the horn is like a very cute semi truck horn... not at all annoying. Plus it has cup holders and a gas cap when he needs to fill it up on diesel. Buy this toy its worth every penny... way cooler then the original cozy car!!!

My husband and I gave this Little Tikes Cozy Truck to our Grandson for his 2nd birthday. He loves trucks and tractors and his mom, our daughter, said he sat is a Little Tikes Car at a friends house and loved it. We were delighted to find the truck and chose that for his birthday. We are very happy with it. It took a little patience to put it together but all the parts were labeled and the instructions pretty clear so it only took us a few hours. The whole truck is very sturdy and constructed well. Our grandson loved the tailgate, cup holders and gas cap. The horn was his favorite feature! It is a great horn and not too loud or annoying. All the stickers added a very realistic look to the truck. We thought the floorboard feature was very smart. Right now our grandson can not reach the floor with his feet so he rides with his feet up on the floorboard. There is a handle in the roof that can be used by an adult to push the truck until that time the child gets big enough to use his feet then the floorboard can be taken out. This is a great product! We got a great deal through Amazon Prime and it was delivered very timely. Thank you!

Everything was pretty easy for the most part to assemble but the front pillars do not hold well to the area it attaches to the car. I had to flip it over and add screws to keep it from disconnecting and the door falling off.

We bought this for our grandson; this review is entirely about assembly. Our instructions said to put the horn on the steering wheel and then attach the steering wheel to the main body. We actually did this last because it was so difficult. Attaching the horn was easy enough, but we COULD NOT get the clips on the white insert to pass through the body far enough to allow them to slip over the o-ring. We called Little Tikes and they said to apply dish washing solution to the column. It did not help. This was extremely frustrating - they just need the white insert to be 1/16th inch longer. We considered other ways of attaching it, and in doing so we realized that the surface where the o-ring sits is not exactly flat. Which led us to a solution that finally worked; when you push on the steering wheel to get it slip over the o-ring, the white clips had to be at 3-oclock and 9 oclock with respect to the column. In other words, pointed left and right, not up and down. This was the ONLY way to get the o-ring to sit flush where the clip is trying to move past it, so it can clip onto the o-ring. Using this approach, and still applying significant muscle, we finally got it to slip over the o-ring. Much more difficult than it needs to be. Make the o-ring thinner, or the white insert longer - problem solved.

Following the instructions this was a breeze to put together even with my one year-old trying to get in while it was being assembled. I used my drill motor with the clutch set to one With a number two Phillips in the shaft. I drilled no holes and it only took an hour. The parts that click together had good moldings from other reviews I was worried they would not. I can see how the struts going into the roof could be problematic but as long as you put one hooked into the slot at the top of the keyhole the other side should Slip right in. I was very concerned reading other reviews but very happy with this product.

Im the Grandma and purchased this for our 2 year old grandson as I thought it would be a nice transition from something we push (even though this does have a handle for those instances) to him using his own feet as the peddle power I usually have no problems assembling these sorts of scooters/cars/trucks but this turned out to be a nightmare. I would suggest watching and following the video on the Little Tikes website for assembly, , not the paper booklet that comes with this truck. The video assembly is in a different order which seems to make much better sense. Other issues that I encountered: The O ring was a bit too wide, thus preventing positioning of the white steering clip under the O ring (which is absolutely necessary in order for the steering wheel to stay in place) I ended up using a Zip tie through the pre-drilled holes where the two ends of the steering clip should have gone. Also had a problem with the 2 screw/tabs used to secure the floorboard into place. The instructions show they easily snap into the predrilled holes--alas, not the case! It is a great ride on/ push truck, but we will only be able to use it a few times due to the 25 lb weight limit.

I could not love this more! We bought this for our grandson’s 1st birthday and it’s just darling. Easy to put together when you scan the code on the front of the instruction manual which takes you to a video with step by step instructions. So easy to follow and love the visual. Didn’t use the printed instruction manual at all. Buy this!

Love the truck, as do my kids. Unfortunately, the gas cap was damaged straight from the box. So far,despite emails to the manufacturer, i havent been able to get a replacement part.
