We bought this for our grandson’s first birthday. We already have the Little Tikes cozy coupe at our house and he loves being pushed around in it. Personally I would say you could buy this for any child 10 months+ to be pushed until they are strong enough to “peddle” it themselves with the floorboard removed. First off I have to say that my husband is exceptional at assembling things. If Id have been assembling it I wouldn’t be writing this review yet! Once he had read the instructions it took him a good hour to put everything together. Nice sturdy truck just like so many of the other toys this company makes. On the down side - the door was ill-fitting and doesn’t line up exactly to latch unless you really push down hard on the door (we are leaving that to our son to sort out after the birthday party!) and the decals that come with this don’t match the ones in the video on this page or the ones you can buy here on Amazon for $12.99 - search The Toy Restore Replacement Decals Fits Little Times Truck, nor do the instructions for the decals jive with the numbers on the decal sheets.

Bought this truck for my toddler son and was disappointed that the door was completely scratched up. We also followed the directions to a T and the front tires are wobbly and uneven. Overall was disappointed with the quality and the fit of the pieces.

This is a little tykes car so of course it is well-made and cute. It also is sturdy and easy to maneuver however, when trying to put it together for my grandson‘s birthday lo and behold it was missing two of the pieces that hold the roof up so I was unable to present it to him on his birthday. Very disappointing. I called little tykes and they took about 30 minutes on the phone, but I did finally get them to send me two major pieces that are missing. I haven’t received the pieces yet, but hoping for the best.

We got this as a birthday present for my son who just turned 2. It took a while to build (a couple of hours) but the main issue we had was with the wheels. There is a very, very small difference in thickness between the front wheels and back wheels. So slight that I had to check several times to see if I was working with the correct wheel. We didn’t see any indication on the instructions that there was a difference and ended up hammering the metal cap onto the wrong wheel. This led to having a single wheel not fitting and us having to figure out why. I believe there are numbers (cav 5 & 6) but not sure if that was supposed to be the indicator? Anyways - to remove the cap after it was hammered on - I had to remove the axle from the car and pry the metal cap off using steel pliers (slid wheel and hubcap away from cap so that force could be focused on metal cap). If you see this before installing the wheels, test that the front axles go through the wheel and hubcap and have enough space to place the metal cap. The wrong wheel won’t allow enough space for the cap when the axle is inserted through. Having the wrong wheel in place can cause other fit issues and may even lead to the wheel falling off. Other than that snafu - the truck is great! I’m very impressed with the quality and happy we got it. My son loves it!

Just like others have said, the trunk part doesn’t line up correctly. My little one still enjoys it, but I wish it closed in place a lot better for what we paid for it. Also I didn’t think about the design of the eyes of the truck being hard for little ones to see over when riding around.

I need to take a break from building this thing... it’s a major pain. I finally got to the steering wheel and IT WONT GO IN I’m ready to throw it out the window. Or contemplating just not putting it on........ even though that’s the one part that makes sound. It’s literally the last step and it’s taken me the longest to do! On trial number 263926402 to get it in. The quality of the assembly sucks. I’d pay a little extra to have it shipped assembled even....... and I’m an engineer! I build things all the time. But this one sucks. It’s a shame because the truck itself is cute and I know these last a long time once assembled usually but I’m not confident in this one. Oh and step 1..... I put the door lock on. It definitely doesn’t work. Luckily my kid is old enough to not throw himself out the side door. Other cozy coupes and vehicles I’ve had the lock work just fine but for this one the door seems off a bit. The lock doesn’t catch the other side to latch. Overall I’m frustrated with this toy. I know if I ever get the stinking steering wheel in my kid will love it..... right now it’s just a big piece of plastic with wheels and cute stickers. Without that steering wheel I know my kid will be bummed.

Im the Grandma and purchased this for our 2 year old grandson as I thought it would be a nice transition from something we push (even though this does have a handle for those instances) to him using his own feet as the peddle power I usually have no problems assembling these sorts of scooters/cars/trucks but this turned out to be a nightmare. I would suggest watching and following the video on the Little Tikes website for assembly, , not the paper booklet that comes with this truck. The video assembly is in a different order which seems to make much better sense. Other issues that I encountered: The O ring was a bit too wide, thus preventing positioning of the white steering clip under the O ring (which is absolutely necessary in order for the steering wheel to stay in place) I ended up using a Zip tie through the pre-drilled holes where the two ends of the steering clip should have gone. Also had a problem with the 2 screw/tabs used to secure the floorboard into place. The instructions show they easily snap into the predrilled holes--alas, not the case! It is a great ride on/ push truck, but we will only be able to use it a few times due to the 25 lb weight limit.

Assembling this product was overall easy, however there was a step that asked us to slide one piece into the slots of another piece but there was no slot. My husband had to drill an opening for the first piece to fit into. Product control failed big time that day.

Stupid directions. Read and read and read again before putting it together. My granddaughter has the princess coupe and our grandson wanted to use her coupe too so the sharing was stressful. I bought the truck and they BOTH love it
