> 3 dayAs I switch from my pc to play station the usb stick acts funny you have to mess with the button on the usb stick to switch between the two functions took me a while to understand the button press the blue is for the console and yellow/orange is for pc

> 3 dayGreat sound quality. I think the 2 preset eqs are perfect. One for FPS and the other for everything else. I use them with Dolby as well and I love everything about them. They could be a tad louder but its loud enough to hear footsteps really well. Probably the best headset Ive used since my x11s way back in the day and maybe the mic based on other reviews but dont let that not make you buy it. The mic is good enough. The only question is longevity at this point

21-11-2024Ive been having so many issues with this headset that its pretty impossible to recommend. Hopefully this is all stuff that can be addressed in firmware updates, but at the moment this headset is a headache to deal with on PC. Some issues include: -Mic not working on PC when woken from sleep, requiring me to turn it on and off (takes several seconds to turn off, several to shut down, and several to boot up) -Mic goes incredibly quiet. Sometimes muting and unmuting fixes this, but not always -Sometimes the headset gets stuck on. Once this happened while no audio was coming through them at any volume and the headset seemed just bricked until it turned off. I learned that holding down on the volume control stick while holding the bluetooth button will force the headset to reset. This wasnt on any websites or in the manual. Ive had to force the headset to reset several times a day. As I use the headset, Ive had to find work arounds for all of the quirks that come with it. I wouldnt wish that on anyone else. Im holding out for some fixes for now, but so far, no luck. It seems to work well enough on mobile through bluetooth and I havent tried it on consoles. but PC is a mess so far and that uses the same dongle as console, so who knows.

> 3 dayI really like this headset becuase of the price and the fact that it is wireless. But there are times that there is a slight static sounds and I have to turn it off and turn it back on to fix it. Not a huge deal but you know…

> 3 dayOk so first off I love Astro headsets I have owned the A-10s they were a good starter set for any gamer still have them I keep them as a back up set just in case. Then I upgraded to the A-20s loved them they died after two hard years of use so I thought why not upgrade? So after some research I was torn between the A-30s and the A-50s I eventually went with the A-30s I was very exited to get them in my hands. So the Pros they look clean very sleek set they feel really comfortable and they sound great. Now the Cons I wish they would have not went with the leather material for the ear cups VERY sweaty after about an hour of continuous use and the connection to my PS5 was terrible the sound would cut out constantly durin gaming to the point that I returned them and keep in mind Im only sitting about 8 feet from my system so it had nothing to do with distance at all. The A-50s went on sell for 250 bucks so I decided to go with them instead couldnt be happier very lightweight extremely comfortable. I do not know what else to say but if you are looking at these two headsets I would say A-50s all day.

Greater than one weekGreat headphones for the price, overall sound is a little better than I was expecting, surround sound is much better than I was expecting. I gave 4 stars because of a little quirk that is frustrating and Ive never had with past headsets- every time I turn my PC on I have to unplug the receiver and plug it back it so that the button will work that lets me change it from xbox mode to PC mode. So it will have a green light indicating xbox.... oddly enough sometimes it works that way but most of the time I need the light to be yellow for PC and without resetting it the light to change it simply does nothing. The other quirk is that the software to update the firmware shows available updates.... allows an update to be performed... says it was successful... but still wants to do the same update. If you can live with those 2 things then I highly recommend these if this is about what you wanted to spend.

> 3 dayIm going to start off with the two redeeming qualities of this headset before I get to the many reasons I will be returning it. The sound quality despite it not having surround sound capabilities is very nice and it is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time (10+hrs). Now, the microphone is extremely quiet and even with software to add gain and the device volume on my PC turned all the way up people still have trouble hearing me and sometimes the bug that makes you louder after you mute and unmute is enough for me to be able to communicate and sometimes it isnt. The boom microphones position doesnt stay in one place when set and requires constantly being moved so it doesnt sit on your face or at least directly under your nose. Youd think that having an app on your phone for fine tuning wouldnt be bad but not having the option for PC also just adds extra problems when the headset just decides to disconnect from your phone (which no other blue-tooth device that I own does) OR your microphone just randomly mutes itself with no reliable way to unmute it. Muting itself is rare but still unacceptable and not only does it mute but also randomly stops making sound while still being turned on and sending a microphone signal AND if you think turning it on and back off again will solve it as it does with a lot of things SOMETIMES IT WONT TURN OFF OR BACK ON and sometimes when you unplug the USB and plug it back in the microphone still wont work and I dont mean not work for specific programs I mean in windows devices where it only shows up because it is connected there will be no sound level for the microphone and Ive yelled directly into it just to be sure it wasnt just so low it wasnt picking it up. Those are the reasons I am returning this headset but they arent even the only problems, just the ones that make it unusable and unreliable on a constant basis and when reaching out to Amazon I was told to contact Astro and Astro has not sent a single email about it other than the automated email confirming that the support ticket had been made and I have waited twice the amount of time that they claim to respond in and there has been no mention of higher than usual requests to let anyone know that their response time may take longer. The other problems are that it isnt surround sound which Id expect from a headset this expensive, while using the microphone on my phone it wont be usable on my PC, a bug that decreases the headsets volume a large amount when changing the volume on my phone up or down but increases the volume by the same large amount when changing the volume directly on the headset so you need to play with changing them both for your desired volume which is really annoying to do when answering calls, and the loud sounds it makes when it turns on, off, connects, or disconnects from anything that you cant control the volume of but when the battery levels are low (rare as that may be) the sound indicating that isnt as loud, and the range for both blue-tooth and USB connection could stand to be a bit longer but that is probably the least of complaints to have with the plethora of problems above.
