As most, Ive gone through some Mice (mouses?? :) and this is my 2nd favorite behind only the G9. (**See Update At Bottom**) I have a variety of wireless/corded mice and this is the one I prefer after years of using a G9 which finally gave up the ghost .. and last time I priced them I bout passed out. So, great all around mouse for gaming/office/editing or whatever you can think of to use a mouse for. #TwoThumbsUp (ummm See Below) UPDATE! Are these refurbs?? **** Mouse went completely bonkers after less than one month. #argh So I just ordered another one and am counting on my experience with the initial purchase being an anomalous fluke. We shall soon see. :( I will try to keep this review as current as possible as I hope my first failure was just bad luck of the draw.

thought id try this new G MX518 for my 2nd setup. the cheaper construction wouldnt be a problem but the left click is awful. My now 10+ year old original MX518 is still working perfectly fine. on depressing the left click, it kind of gets stuck halfway up and theres a plasticky noise like its scraping against something. makes it so when clicking a lot, there are some missed clicks due to some times when the left click didnt fully depress. this issue isnt present with the right click, nor with my original 10+ year old MX518. Save your money.

I had used a MX 518 as my primary mouse for many years. It finally broke and I was disappointed to find it was no longer made. I tried a few others but was never happy with them. I was skeptical when this was reissued. I figured it was just a cheaper knock off. It does seem to have been cost reduced some, and it is cheaper then the original. But I like it. It works well and it is fast. I had to slow it down. If you were a fan of the original, you will find this a acceptable replacement. Update: I have noticed there has been a large price increase for this mouse. At the current price it’s is much less of a deal. If I was in the market, I would still buy it, but be unhappy with the price.

I just wanted to preface this by saying Ive been using Logitech mice most of my life, starting with multiple MX510 and an MX518. I was excited to hear that they relaunched the MX518 and ordered it immediately upon finding out. I was pretty disappointed to say the least when I actually started using it. It had the familiar grip and weight but the sensor is just straight awful. I can barely lift the mouse off the mousepad without the cursor going haywire. My 12 year old MX510 is still way more accurate than whatever this is. Feels like they just repackaged a garbage mouse as the MX518 in name only. Disappointed.

I dislike the fact that I ordered a new mouse and I got a used one. The pads have marks on them which means it was used and returned, not what I expected.....not happy...

Ive been using the mouse for couple of days and I notice the new Mx518 have some minor flaws compare to my current old G400. Build quality was consider a downgrade, thinner plastic and the weight feels lighter and not as balanced as well, making it more difficult to move the mouse smoothly. Ergonomics with the Mx518 not as comfortable as the G400 since the buttons is harder to click, my hand feels tired after using it for a while. Also I experience occasion stuttering with the mouse I think the sensor not tracking properly, and the new GHub software has less customization with no option to activate mouse acceleration. Its best to just buy another G400 or the G400s version if my current one has worn out.
