all time favorite. I used my previous version for 15 years. I replaced with the newer version just to refresh. Love it!

There was a slight tear on the cable of the unit I got and it basically stopped working within an hour of use. The RMA process went smooth so far, but when the whole point was to get a dropin replacement for an original MX518 thats been going strong for 15 years, this was a disappointment.

It will not work with a KVM switch like to ones we bought years ago cheaper and seems to work good on a single direct connection but useless for someone using a KVM switch, Old ones worked fine this doesnt

I have 2 of these mice. One is two years old, one is one month old. My amazon one month old mouse died. I had suspicions of it being fake right out of the box since I have another identical non counterfeit mouse. My suspicsions were confirmed when it died within one month. It does not work like my other mouse either and actually hurt the purpose of being more accurate by using the same mouse at work/home. Amazon is the new Wish.

Ive been gaming since 2000 and been using this mouse exclusively since like 2005. Mainly FPS games like CSGO / Valorant / PUBG. By far the best mouse in my opinion. I havent had any of these MX518s break in the past or had any issues. Very reliable, glad Logitech brought it back.

Compared to the G400s that I had previously, the coating felt garbage on the mx518 legendary and the mouse overall felt a lot cheaper compared to the G400s. The cable was too thin to use in my zowie bungie so that made it even more annoying.

Very comfortable and the weight feels nice and balanced to move around.

I use this primarily on my work Mac which I use to do software development. Ive had the old generation model for over 10 years and its been great. I liked that the auxiliary button below the sensitivity selector buttons could be used as a shortcut on the Mac to go into the window switcher mode. In the latest generation, theyve changed that button to reset the sensitivity to default and it no longer works as Mouse Button 6 in the keyboard shortcuts selection menu. I tried changing the settings in Logitechs GHub software but couldnt figure out if it was possible and after 10 minutes gave up after failing to discover if it was possible to customize a profile with button remappings to make this mouse equivalent to the old generation. Overall, it felt like they added more ((confusing) software / profiles) but made the defaults less useful (for me anyways). Im going to keep this mouse since the Razr mouse I bought before this scroll wheel broke after 4 months and this ones scroll wheel works for now.

I still have an original mx518 that I still use. The pictures with the new and original one. The laser looks different and the newer version is 3.6 oz, 0.3 oz lighter than the original. Feels comfortable enough, got this for $20 on Black Friday from BB

I dont use it for games. Thats why I left the gaming star rating blank. I use it for AutoCAD and Creo parametric. The extra buttons come in handy. Also I find having to change out batteries more annoying than a chord. So this one is perfect for my needs. And it fits perfect in my hand. Never any fatigue or discomfort. Thanks!
