The module works fast, no issues at all versus my old system

I have a lot of Lutron Caseya gear, must be close to 20 switches. This is the first that didn’t work as advertised. I set this up and found that it would only ever turn on remotely, never off. I tried to reset it and resting it but could not get it to pair again from my outside outlet that couldn’t have been more then 40 feet from my hub and only an inside and outside wall between them. I brought it in and it paired ok, so not sure why it can’t pair from the outside but my guess is the communication was blocked somehow.. when you make an outside outlet you would think they would ensure it works from the outside!

Outstanding product. I can control all landscape lighting and create an on/off schedule to save electricity.

You do need to get a Caseta hub but it is still less expensive than other solutions for outdoor lighting. My landscaping guy wanted to sell me a timer that used a phone app with an ongoing subscription. I don’t think there is a better solution offered by anyone.

East to install. Synced up immediately with my Lutron/Cassetta base and works effortlessly with Siri, Alexa and Google once setup with those systems is complete. Love it.

Although just a few weeks in to its installation, this Lutron switch has performed flawlessly. No issues with Wi-Fi connections. Installation was easy on to an existing smart bridge that has a few other lights installed. Overall, reliable, solid and easy to install

The Lutron Caseta line of smart home products is worth every penny. They use a proprietary communications protocol, but integrate with Alexa and HomeKit with an additonal hub. That said, even if your network goes down, the switches and remotes still work just as you would expect, its just your automations and integrations that will temporarily be unavailable. Its the only brand of smart outlet that Ive never had just spontaneously stop connecting to the network (unless the whole network is down).

The Lutron Outdoor Plug was a quick and easy install. I have several Cassetta dimmers and smart plugs, and addicting this outdoor plug to my systems was very simple. Just plug it in and the WiFi bridge immediately located it and I just added it as another one of my smart devices. I wish the wire (that actually plugs into the electric outlet) was longer and not just “pig-tail” length, but that is the only real shortcoming I have found … and it might not be a shortcoming for most others. Overall am very satisfied.
