I bought this to control my pond pump. The smart switch is about 50 away from my access point that hangs in the garage. The switch sits next to other smart devices. My access point is a Luxul enterprise model so I know the signal is strong and my other devices nearby all work without issues. The unit appears to be a very well-built device with a great wet location switch but I can never control it through the app - even though the app tells me that the device is switching on and off. Maybe I have a bad unit : (

We invested in a lot of money with these.… The set up was easy, but few issues: you still have water/outdoor elements breach plugging whatever you plug into it need a flat/slim plug into gang box to be able to close an outdoor gang box most importantly, it works erratically and inconsistently.... even electrician spent an hour and noticed same thing... some mornings we were shocked the timer worked, and some I had to manually shut off ... same going ON ... they are OK ...

Paired and worked in like 5 min, string light in the back yard are not alxea controlled

I use this with Homekit and it works great! I needed a plug I could use with my 3d printer in the garage so I can turn it on and off remotely. Its pricey but it has never not responded yet.

I have bought many outdoor plugs by the big name brands and none were easy to hook up. I always had to jimmy(Jerry) rig something to make it work the way they were supposed to. With this on I plugged it in, opened the app on my phone, held the power button down for 10 sec, and then set the right lights and location in the app and I was done. Took 1-2 min tops. The most work was done hanging the string lights. I definitely will be replacing all my other outdoor plus with more of these. It is truly amazing how quick and easy setup was.

I bought 2 for my outdoor string lights, best decision ever. I chose to control it thru the Lutron app rather than Alexa. I now have 9 Lutron Caseta plugs and Im extremely happy with their performance. These outdoor plugs have replaced my old timers, theyre resistant to our extreme heats and rainfall. Highly recommend it.

I Legit LOVE Lutron. Caseta and RA2 are amazeballs. Works perfectly with IFTT and Home Assistant without any issues EVER. IT JUST WORKS.

If this is your first Lutron Smart Component, there might be a learning curve, especially if you wish to connect it to the Apple HomeKit. But if this is an addition to an existing system, the set up takes less than a minute and synchronizes with the HomeKit within seconds on all Apple applications. We bought three for three exterior zones, they work incredible. The Outdoor Smart Plug is not available in Canada yet, apparently.

Like most Caseta stuff, this is priced at the higher end of its market, but it is a nicely put together package, that seems like itd take a decent soaking. The line lump style is great since it separates the outlets from the device, offering more layout flexibility when attached to walls, and an option for water sealing the couplings, which is not the case with the standard sockets-at-the-bottom devices. I cant speak to its range, I happen to have a caseta lamp dimmer on the opposite side of the wall, so mine is only a few feet away from the mesh.

Great function. Typical Lutron pricing but they work like a charm.
