> 3 dayExcellent primary red. Leans more cool, but quinacridone reds and roses generally perform the same in that they are fantastic reds for mixing and can make clean, bright oranges or purples. The M Graham brand of gouache paints all have high pigment loads and a creamy consistency at a great price point, especially in the US. I would just advise that since gouache tends to be more abrasive than regular watercolor paints, be careful of which brushes you use with them. I personally have a set of cheaper synthetic flats and filberts that I use with gouache.

> 3 dayBeautiful!! Easy to layer and rewet. Plus they dry without cracking so you can put them in watercolor pans to use on the go. My only gripe is that I would prefer different colors. I dont mind cobalt blue instead of ultramarine or Prussian blue, but it did throw me. Id of also preferred a cooler red but thats just my personally pallet preferences. These are beautiful.

> 3 dayThe paints lay beautifully for my painting, but the color choice don’t give and room for pretty purples. The Color are great, but for people that want clean purples I would recommend Winsor Newton Primary set. No shade on M. Graham with the gouaches, some people just don’t like the primaries from this set

> 3 dayM. Grahams gouache is unique in that they do not add fillers or whiteners to their gouache. They grind their pigments very very fine in order to make them opaque. Great covering ability, most all are highly lightfast and they lift easily. A truly professional art supply.

> 3 dayI’m new to gouache painting and I primarily use it for mixed media work. I like to lay in a textural section of gouache and go back over it with other water based media when the gouache layer is dry. MGraham is buttery and easy to lay down but, after it’s dry it reconstitutes and flows much easier than other brands I’ve tried. It’s not exactly a negative for me, but definitely worth noting.
