M. Graham & Co. 2-Ounce Tube Gouache Paint, Titanium White

Very good, doesnt show coloyrs through it easily

This is my first set of gouache paints Ive ever owned, so I dont have much experience with them. Before I purchased these I researched a bit and found from other sources that this was a decent brand so I went ahead and bought them. The consistency in 4 out of 5 of these paints is beautiful, but I found that the Cobalt Blue had a very watery consistency from the rest of the paints. These are very opaque and thick paints and once watered down they have a beautiful wash to them, but the blue didnt quite hit the mark for me. I made a pretty quick example photo of all the colors at their most opaque (dry brush) and their most watered down, and as far as the blue goes theres no change in consistency. I also noticed that the Ivory Black tube had leaked paint and sticky residue from the bottom and seeped through the packaging. The Napthol Red was almost overflowing with paint as soon as I had opening the cap and I had to clean up some extra paint that poured out. They work great on different types of papers which Im happy with though! As far as purchasing this goes, maybe it is a good choice to get a small set like this and build from there, but Im not sure if Ill be purchasing from this brand again due to my first time experiences and considering I paid $35+ for it to turn out inconsistent and leaky.

I’m new to gouache painting and I primarily use it for mixed media work. I like to lay in a textural section of gouache and go back over it with other water based media when the gouache layer is dry. MGraham is buttery and easy to lay down but, after it’s dry it reconstitutes and flows much easier than other brands I’ve tried. It’s not exactly a negative for me, but definitely worth noting.

Good product

When it comes to gouache I needed a good white for highlights and mixing. This is by far the best gouache I have used. And it will last me for a pretty long time. Excited to see what I can create with this

I really love this gouache! I have used gouache from other brands in the past (even other professional gouache brands, like winsor and newton), and this one was very different. Usually the gouache that I use gets very dry and even falls out of the pan that I keep it in. This gouache stays a lot more tacky, re-wets easily, and just works very well. Im going to change over to using only M. Graham gouache from now on.

This the 3rd time I received a product from Hyatt s. Excellent service, very well packaged and delivery is always on time or before due date. Gouache from M. Graham is an excellent product. It is a great opaque white for watercolor drawings.
