M. Graham & Co. 2-Ounce Tube Gouache Paint, Titanium White

Unlike white watercolor, which often seems too transparent to be of use to me, this actually works the way I wish white watercolor would. This gouache is smooth, pretty opaque and can be applied anywhere from white-out strength, to a diluted semi transparent wash. I apply it with a detail brush over my watercolor paintings for highlights, as this is so much easier and quicker than preserving white space while painting. You can mix this white gouache with any watercolor paints to tint it, making opaque pastels as well. Im very happy with this brand and the 2 oz bottle option is usually incredibly affordable compared to other brands. I no longer use white gel pen since this allows such better control without the skipping and blobbing of pens. You can also re-wet it well from a pan or on the paper, so adding softer edges or lifting/erasing mistakes is a breeze.

Novice with Gouache, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But I saw so many reviews of various brands and this one seemed to be one of the higher rated. Its certainly more expensive than others. I wasnt impressed with the creaminess and the color didnt seem to be as opaque as I was led to believe. Still working and I might change my mind.

M. Graham gouache is my go-to and the titanium white mixes very well with their line of densely pigmented colors. Highly recommended.

I love m Graham watercolor paints. This guoche doesnt disappoint. Nice value for the amount you get. It will last me forever, as I only use it for finishing watercolor paintings. May need more than one application for a brighter white, as this is still some transparency in my experience. Still learning how to use it best. It dries in pan well and rewets easily. It doesnt stay sticky like the watercolors do. Im glad for that bc I get them everywhere!

I have used both M. Graham gouache and watercolor paints and they are of excellent quality and have high pigment content. The pricing on the sets at times provide a savings over buying individual tubes.
