May Flash Wireless Wii U Pro Controller Adapter for PC USB

> 3 dayI bought this adapter about 5 months ago so I could use my Wii U Pro Controller on my PC. It performs this task flawlessly, and without lag. It takes approximately one second to synchronize, and is recognized by every game Ive tried with it. I leave it plugged into one of the front USB ports on my computer, if that matters. It came with a DVD that probably has drivers on it, but I dont recall ever actually using it. The adapter itself has plastic construction with four small phillips screws and a fairly light cord a couple feet in length. Mine has a range of 20-25 feet, but you might get better range if you mounted it somewhere higher, since mine just sits on my computer tower.

Greater than one weekI bought this adapter primarily to use a Wii U Pro Controller on my PC — because I dont really like XBox 360 controllers (*gasp!* HERESY! Yeah, I know; deal with it) — and later ended up acquiring a PlayStation 3 that came with no controllers, so now it also allows me to use my PS3 as well! It works great, too: use the X-Input mode on the PC to fool games into thinking youre using an XBox 360 controller, or use the D-Input mode on the PC (or PS3) for older games that dont support X-Input. :) Ive had this adapter for a while, and while the CONTROLLER ITSELF isnt so good, THIS ADAPTER is FANTASTIC! :D Thank you, Mayflash!

08-06-2025While it technically functions, it does not seem to work very well with third-party controllers. For example, my Hyperkin ProCube controller is unable to use all of the buttons when connected, as the device falsely registers a button being held down on my controller.

> 3 dayIt does the job and does it well. I wish that only one adaptor was needed to emulate Xbox controllers for multiple players, but, other than that, it does everything I want it to do. Plus, for less than the price of a set of Xbox 360 controllers, I can use the excellent Wii U controllers I already have to play Steam games from my couch! I bought two of them for the same machine, so I can even play multiplayer games with a friend. Like I said, the one XBox-emulated controller per adaptor is an annoyance, but buying two of these is still cheaper than buying controllers for a system I dont own just to play Steam games on my PC.

> 3 dayWOW!. 10 stars. First of all there are some inaccurate answers posted here about functionality and I want to clear those up. This thing works great on pc, even better than a xbox 360 controller. Only downside I see really is the triggers on wii u pro controllers are more like buttons but it actually improves response times I think. This made me realize how much more responsive and faster it feels like using a wii u pro controller than even a wired in 360 or ps3 controller, even works on ps3 and way better I think than ds3 controller. If you have a OTG cable you can plug it in to your android phone or tablet and it works just like a wired xbox 360 controller just use xinput on the switch. I had some gta games on my phone like san andreas and vice city I havent played in forever because of the controls but it works perfectly like or better than it did when I played it on ps2. 10 stars.

> 3 dayPurchased this on a whim along with the PS3 version and so far I am extremely impressed. Install drivers > plug in adapter > sync controller, DONE. (I used on Windows 8.1 system with Steam Big Picture and other non steam games, all worked flawlessly.) You can toggle between D/Xinput on the adapter though Ive mostly only used the Xinput. The computer will recognize the controller as an Xbox 360 controller which is great, but also brings me to the one drawback I found. Even though it is recognized as an XBOX 360 controller, the ABXY mapping is Nintendos version, not the standard XBox 360 placement. This throws me off enough in some games that I am using the Dualshock 3 controller + adapter instead (which maps the same as an XBOX 360 controller.) If Mayflash releases a driver that will allow the user to change the ABXY mapping, this would definitely be my wireless controller of choice for PC gaming.

Greater than one weekWow, after all the hell i went through trying to set my wii u pro controller up on PC without this, i was honestly expecting this to not work as described, it was too good to be true. thankfully, i was wrong, right away it synced with my controller and was effortless. it did have incorrect mapping for the face buttons but as the top rated review says, it was easy enough to update the firmware and switch it to the correct mapping. if you have a Wii U pro controller and play games on a PC, you have no excuse not to have this.

> 3 day*Update: Mayflash added a firmware update. You can now swap the buttons A/B or A/A for Xinput/Dinput modes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I bought this to use with my Steam Library. Aside from the cheap plastic, its a great device. Drivers install without a problem and theyre also available on the website. (which is always a plus!) It has 2 modes + a sync button. Simply install the drivers, and use the sync button on both device/controller and youre good to go. Xinput mode will emulate an Xbox controller (up to 1 Device) and Dinput which can hook up to 4 devices. The only downside is (and it could be a deal breaker for you) if youre mainly buying this for Xinput mode the buttons are actually correct on the controller. Meaning (if ABXY is xbox, your wii u pro controller is the same) it mirrors the buttons, so the mapping/layout of controller does not match a real xbox controller. Im pretty sure this is due to the analog sticks being on top instead of bottom. Either way this is great to use and a good adapter, and the only reason I rate it a 3, is due to the button layout.

> 3 dayI owned an XBox 360 controller to use with my PC until it died. I didnt have any other XBox controllers, but I do have a Wii U with three pro controllers, which are mostly not used unless if there is a party, so I decided to take a chance on this so I could use one of my Wii U controllers and save some money opposed to buying a new XBox 360 or Xbox One controller. Ill first mention there are software solutions for getting a Wii U controller to work with a normal Bluetooth adapter. The software solution consisted of a special Bluetooth management program, a button-mapping program, and an XInput driver program to allow it to be recognized as an XBox controller. In my experience these workarounds are a bit clunky, and it seemed to report the analogue sticks as binary (example: holding up on a stick will report all the way up, or nothing at all. There was no middle-ground or places in between). While there may be fixes to this behaviour and have it work as expected, I wanted something simple. I wanted to to press the sync buttons then expect the controller to just work. Thats why I bought this adapter. This product is basically a dedicated special-purpose bluetooth adapter that maps and works as a gamepad or XInput adapter all-in-one, so everyhing is done in the adapter without the need of extra software configuration (except installing the driver once before you first use it). It took a minute or so the first time for my computer to recognize the adapter (after installing the drivers first) and the Wii U controller, but since then it connects quickly every time I power on my black Wii U pro controller. The first time I connected it one of the analog sticks was reporting as slightly off-center, but that was fixed by calibrating it in the Game Controllers control panel. In the Xinput mode it detects and works as an XBox controller just fine. One thing to remember, other than the different location of the analogue sticks, the A and B buttons are reversed compared to an Xbox controller, as are the Y and X buttons. The map perfectly well, but if youve been using an XBox controller beforehand this will be noticeable. Youll either have to just go with it and adapt, or remap your buttons. So far the adapter has been reliable with connecting and maintaining a connection. I havent had any problems using it as an XBox controller in my games so far, and in other software like Steam and Oculuss home software. The Wii U controller will still go asleep if left idle for too long, so youll have to press a button to wake it up and have it automatically re-connect. Thats to be expected though.

> 3 dayworks very nicely. driver update was a bit of a mystery, before searching some forums. To get into update mode, you need to hold the sync button down while plugging in the USB. After updating the firmware, you can change the button config to match an xbox controller.
