I got this to play Final Fantasy XIV on the PC. Because the cross-hotbar is way faster than mouse & keyboard, and I liked the D-Pad, button, and analog stick layout. Made playing Black Mage so much easier than the PS2 controller Id been using that finally died on me after many years. What can I say, this just works. Its simple to install. Install the drivers first, plug the dongle in. press the sync button on the dongle, then press the sync button on the Wii U Pro Controller and youre done. I also using this with the same controller to play the Batman Arkham series games, and its 360 Controller mode is excellent for that. Vibration works too. No hassles, no complicated configuration screens, it just works. NOTE: Mayflash make a version that works with the PS3 controller, and its just as simple to setup and use. Why struggle with the piece of crap MotionJoy, go and buy this already!

I gotta say at first I was hesitant, The build quality is amazing, Instructions were simple, I got my Wii U Pro Controller up and working on my PS3 in less than a minute, and the most amazing thing out of all. It works FLAWLESSLY. I have not disconnected the adapter, and I dont think it will work without it, but thats Okay.

This is much easier than trying to connect the Wii U Pro controllers through whatever Bluetooth driver your computer has. The adapter works exactly as advertised. Direct Input for up to 4 controllers or Xinput for 1 controller works without any problems. There is no delay in button response. A lot of games however only support Xinput, so some controller mapping software is needed in order to use Direct Input. Drivers are available with a mini-cd and from their website.

I love this device! Its so simple to setup and it works great with Steam. I have been playing games like Rogue Legacy and Guacamelee with the ultra-comfortable Wii U Pro Controller. EDIT/UPDATE Whenever I plug this device into my computer and turn on the controller, it causes so much interference that it slows my network to a crawl. No one on my network can even stream youtube videos while I use this controller, and I cant stay connected to Steam. I sent an e-mail to the manufacturer, but they have yet to respond. UPDATE 2 I changed my routers at home and now this wireless device doesnt seem to interfere with the wi-fi at all. Working nicely with Windows Store games on Windows 10.

I owned an XBox 360 controller to use with my PC until it died. I didnt have any other XBox controllers, but I do have a Wii U with three pro controllers, which are mostly not used unless if there is a party, so I decided to take a chance on this so I could use one of my Wii U controllers and save some money opposed to buying a new XBox 360 or Xbox One controller. Ill first mention there are software solutions for getting a Wii U controller to work with a normal Bluetooth adapter. The software solution consisted of a special Bluetooth management program, a button-mapping program, and an XInput driver program to allow it to be recognized as an XBox controller. In my experience these workarounds are a bit clunky, and it seemed to report the analogue sticks as binary (example: holding up on a stick will report all the way up, or nothing at all. There was no middle-ground or places in between). While there may be fixes to this behaviour and have it work as expected, I wanted something simple. I wanted to to press the sync buttons then expect the controller to just work. Thats why I bought this adapter. This product is basically a dedicated special-purpose bluetooth adapter that maps and works as a gamepad or XInput adapter all-in-one, so everyhing is done in the adapter without the need of extra software configuration (except installing the driver once before you first use it). It took a minute or so the first time for my computer to recognize the adapter (after installing the drivers first) and the Wii U controller, but since then it connects quickly every time I power on my black Wii U pro controller. The first time I connected it one of the analog sticks was reporting as slightly off-center, but that was fixed by calibrating it in the Game Controllers control panel. In the Xinput mode it detects and works as an XBox controller just fine. One thing to remember, other than the different location of the analogue sticks, the A and B buttons are reversed compared to an Xbox controller, as are the Y and X buttons. The map perfectly well, but if youve been using an XBox controller beforehand this will be noticeable. Youll either have to just go with it and adapt, or remap your buttons. So far the adapter has been reliable with connecting and maintaining a connection. I havent had any problems using it as an XBox controller in my games so far, and in other software like Steam and Oculuss home software. The Wii U controller will still go asleep if left idle for too long, so youll have to press a button to wake it up and have it automatically re-connect. Thats to be expected though.

This works really well. My only complaint is what a lot of people have mentioned already. The buttons are switched from what you would use on a 360 controller. This matches up with what is labeled on the controller, but not with what 90% of games will want you to press.

This device couldnt make it any more simple to connect your awesome Wii U Pro controller to your computer. I setup a HTPC with this adapter for emulators and games on my TV. I installed the driver disc (small install, goes quick), I plugged this in. I then did the sync (I dont recall the order, but push the sync button on the USB dongle and press it on the controller). After that... it worked. I didnt know it worked, until I went into a emulator and setup the controls. It recognized it in there and each button pressed mapped without issue. For the price, its a great investment. Especially if you already own a Wii U Pro controller. If not, the price of the Wii U Pro controllers are usually less than the competitors console remotes. (Personally, the feel of the Wii U Pro is better than the bulky M$ version)

This thing is great; it works as advertised and was very easy to set up. I bought it primarily for playing games in Steam Big Picture and it certainly gets the job done. When operating in xinput mode, controller-compatible games work with zero-configuration. As others have mentioned, buttons are mapped to their respective letter which creates a small problem since X and Y are swapped relative to the xbox controller layout. This takes some getting used to, but its not a big deal. For some reason I cant configure the controller in Steam when operating in dinput mode. Using the controller, I can navigate to the configure controller screen where buttons can be mapped, but the controller stops working at that point and I cant map any buttons. Havent quite figured this out yet, but I dont think its an issue with the controller. This isnt a big deal since xinput is probably the way to go when playing games in Steam.

AMAZING! My PC picked this adapter up no problem and treated it as an official Xbox 360 controller. This is actually better than using the official Xbox 360 controller, because the PC sees this adapter as always connected. The official Xbox 360 adapter will disconnect if the controller is turned off, causing some inconvenience. Pairing a Wii U Pro controller was stupid easy. Press sync button on receiver. Press sync button on contrller. Wait a few seconds. Gold! Its worth noting that there is a software update for this adapter that will allow you to remap the buttons (it swaps the A and B buttons to make the Wii U Pro controller behave more like an Xbox 360 / Xbox One controller). The software update can be found on Mayflashs website. Ive owned this device for over a year now and have had NO issues. Im an avid gamer and use this adapter just about every day. It has just as good range as the original Xbox 360 controller. Im able to control from 20 feet away in a different room.

Im writing this review specifically for those of you who plan to use this with Retropie. I bought this based on a searchable internet thread that recommended it as a solution to a PowerLead Wii U Pro Controller that wont pair to a Raspberry Pi 3 B+s built in Bluetooth. This is in fact a fix for that problem and works beautifully. I plugged it into my Raspberry Pi running RetroPie and fired up the Pi. There is a Pairing button on the Mayflash that you push and also one on the PowerLead controller that you push second. After doing that I found the Controller told me it was paired with the Mayflash but the Mayflash was still blinking like it wasnt connected. So at that point I held the A button on the Controller and after a few seconds the two were connected. Beautiful. No problems since.
