I bought this adapter primarily to use a Wii U Pro Controller on my PC — because I dont really like XBox 360 controllers (*gasp!* HERESY! Yeah, I know; deal with it) — and later ended up acquiring a PlayStation 3 that came with no controllers, so now it also allows me to use my PS3 as well! It works great, too: use the X-Input mode on the PC to fool games into thinking youre using an XBox 360 controller, or use the D-Input mode on the PC (or PS3) for older games that dont support X-Input. :) Ive had this adapter for a while, and while the CONTROLLER ITSELF isnt so good, THIS ADAPTER is FANTASTIC! :D Thank you, Mayflash!

This works perfectly out of the box and makes it easy to use a Wii U Pro Controller as either an Xinput device or up to four controllers as DirectInput devices. Itd be nice if it supported more than one Xinput device at a time, but I assume there are technical reasons for that limitation. Note that by default, the device maps the face buttons on the Pro Controller to the equivalent Xbox controller buttons based on their letter -- but A/B and X/Y are flipped in position between the controllers, so the buttons dont end up in the positions you expect. Fortunately, if you install the latest official firmware on the device, you can flip the button positions so that theyre exactly where you would expect.

Im writing this review specifically for those of you who plan to use this with Retropie. I bought this based on a searchable internet thread that recommended it as a solution to a PowerLead Wii U Pro Controller that wont pair to a Raspberry Pi 3 B+s built in Bluetooth. This is in fact a fix for that problem and works beautifully. I plugged it into my Raspberry Pi running RetroPie and fired up the Pi. There is a Pairing button on the Mayflash that you push and also one on the PowerLead controller that you push second. After doing that I found the Controller told me it was paired with the Mayflash but the Mayflash was still blinking like it wasnt connected. So at that point I held the A button on the Controller and after a few seconds the two were connected. Beautiful. No problems since.

Ive always been a big fan of the Wii U Pro controller. Its just so damn comfy! But, I play most of my games on a PC and some games just play better with a controller than with Keyboard/Mouse. So, Ive been stuck with the 360 controller for years. Which, to be fair, is a fine enough controller if youre just using analog sticks the entire time. However, some games are better played with a D-Pad and the D-Pad on the 360 controller is atrocious! So, I stumbled upon this adaptor, scooped it up in an instant, and the Wii U Pro controller is now my primary PC gaming controller! Zero connection issues, zero discernible lag, it just plain works!

Works like a charm, no setup necessary. Im able to use my WiiU Pro controllers for all my Retroarch games as well as my Steam library on my PC. Nice! WiiU Pro Controllers are very cheap on eBay compared to Switch Pro Controllers, so for the price of this one doodad, you can stock up on controllers for your PC with ease. Highly recommended.

Wow, after all the hell i went through trying to set my wii u pro controller up on PC without this, i was honestly expecting this to not work as described, it was too good to be true. thankfully, i was wrong, right away it synced with my controller and was effortless. it did have incorrect mapping for the face buttons but as the top rated review says, it was easy enough to update the firmware and switch it to the correct mapping. if you have a Wii U pro controller and play games on a PC, you have no excuse not to have this.

Originally opted to use a bluetooth adapter in order to use my Wii U Pro Controller as I already owned one that I used to connect Wii Remotes to use in Dolphin. However that proved to be excruciatingly frustrating in order to even get the controller connected in the first place and even after doing so the controller doesnt function exactly as youd expect it to with its odd sensitivity, having to constantly remap in other software, etc. While it worked I ended up giving up and grabbing a Mayflash anyway. All I can say is that I wish I had done so in the first place as this method is practically plug-n-play (you do need to install its drivers first). Once you have those drivers installed youre basically set. As long as you dont resync the Wii U Pro Controller, anytime you turn it on the controller will automatically connect to the Mayflash. The buttons arent mapped to the same exact positions as the Xbox 360 controller but they are matched to the correct letter buttons. The rumble feature works in games that provide it and overall the controller functions perfectly as you would expect it to.

AMAZING! My PC picked this adapter up no problem and treated it as an official Xbox 360 controller. This is actually better than using the official Xbox 360 controller, because the PC sees this adapter as always connected. The official Xbox 360 adapter will disconnect if the controller is turned off, causing some inconvenience. Pairing a Wii U Pro controller was stupid easy. Press sync button on receiver. Press sync button on contrller. Wait a few seconds. Gold! Its worth noting that there is a software update for this adapter that will allow you to remap the buttons (it swaps the A and B buttons to make the Wii U Pro controller behave more like an Xbox 360 / Xbox One controller). The software update can be found on Mayflashs website. Ive owned this device for over a year now and have had NO issues. Im an avid gamer and use this adapter just about every day. It has just as good range as the original Xbox 360 controller. Im able to control from 20 feet away in a different room.

Works perfectly. I can use my pro controller on my gaming computer and use my 45 inch LED in comfort with my wireless pro controller and play games either by myself or with others. I much prefer using a mouse and keyboard. But when it comes to Lego games or gang beasts. Being able to use my WII u Controllers rather than buying 4 xbox Controllers. This thing is really worth the money. And I can hook 4 pro controllers up to just one as d input. I have quite the option for Controllers on emulators as well. Perfect replacement for Xbox Controllers.

This product shipped on time, installed easily and it worked with no fuss. I like the fact that you can switch from a generic to XBox controller. Im using it to play Titanfall on my PC and I did not have to configure anything - it plays and feels just like the XBox 360 controller. I really like the simplicity and the fact that the is no lag. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to utilize their Wii U Pro controller for playing PC games.

Functioning distance of up to 33 feet away from adapter. Input switch with 2 input protocol modes for extra versatility. Direct input (standard hid protocol) supports 4 controllers at the same time. Xinput (xbox 360 controller protocol) supports one controller per individual adapter. All buttons (except for power button), shoulder triggers, analog sticks and their clicking tops are fully functional. Compatible with Windows 98,xp,Vista and Windows 7 and Windows 8(32 bit and 64 bit versions). Operation notes - how to set the turbo function? To set turbo for individual buttons, press and hold the home button and the button you wish to set turbo for. To remove the setting for that specific button, press and hold the home button and the button you previously set turbo for. To clear all turbo settings for all buttons, quickly press the home button twice within half of a second. If the input switch is set to the direct input mode, the controllers are recognized as standard human interface device. Your controllers can be calibrated at the windows gamepad setup screen. Up to four controllers can be recognized by a single adapter while in this mode. Setting the switch to xinput mode will make it possible to fool certain pc games which lock out proper input modes from the user unless an xbox controller is attached (for a list of these games, check Wikipedia). While in xinput mode vibration feedback is available. The drawback is that while in this mode, only one controller can be recognized by the adapter. If you want to map your buttons to keyboard keys, look for joy2key software online.
