Purchased this on a whim along with the PS3 version and so far I am extremely impressed. Install drivers > plug in adapter > sync controller, DONE. (I used on Windows 8.1 system with Steam Big Picture and other non steam games, all worked flawlessly.) You can toggle between D/Xinput on the adapter though Ive mostly only used the Xinput. The computer will recognize the controller as an Xbox 360 controller which is great, but also brings me to the one drawback I found. Even though it is recognized as an XBOX 360 controller, the ABXY mapping is Nintendos version, not the standard XBox 360 placement. This throws me off enough in some games that I am using the Dualshock 3 controller + adapter instead (which maps the same as an XBOX 360 controller.) If Mayflash releases a driver that will allow the user to change the ABXY mapping, this would definitely be my wireless controller of choice for PC gaming.

I gotta say at first I was hesitant, The build quality is amazing, Instructions were simple, I got my Wii U Pro Controller up and working on my PS3 in less than a minute, and the most amazing thing out of all. It works FLAWLESSLY. I have not disconnected the adapter, and I dont think it will work without it, but thats Okay.

Great little device. Allowed me to pair a single Wii U Pro controller with a PC. I was not clear when I bought it whether it would allow for the connection of multiple controllers, which is why I actually bought it (I have 2), so its getting the 3 star rating for being somewhat hazy in its description. So, in summary: works great, works with only one controller

I use this in conjunction with the Xbox One controller adapter. 2 Xbox One controllers and 2 Wii U Pro controllers. I like it but you can only connect one Wii U Pro controller in Xinput mode (It picks it up as an Xbox 360 controller) and in Dinput mode it recognizes 4 controllers when I connect two so in some games the controllers dont work because they get added as Player 5 and Player 6. Whenever I only have 2 other friends, I just put it in Xinput mode so I dont have to deal with the problems.

This device allows up to four Wii U Pro Controllers to connect to the PC and interact as human interface devices, which is perfect for general PC games. The controllers react to the PC without delay and without a hassle for setup. Just plug in the device to a USB port and let it seek for any controllers, just like a Wii (U). I have even tested it with the Afterglow Wii U Pro Controller, a third-party decice, which would not be recognized by traditional Bluetooth communication, unlike the official Wii U Pro controller. Nevertheless, regardless of the brand, the controller operates perfectly. In addition, the adapter allows the controller to operate as an Xinput device, which is very useful for games requiring the official Microsoft controller. One adapter will only allow one controller connected in this mode, but, for the majority of PC games which use only one Xinput gamepad, its not a problem. The controller still interacts and emulates the Microsoft Xbox controller, from the thumbsticks right down to the triggers. There may be methods to connect the controller to the PC, and such techniques simply require a Bluetooth adapter and the right drivers. However, when I could not get my Afterglow to be recognized by my adapter, I veered to this solution instead, and I do not regret it. Even the light-up LED feature on my third-party controller functions with no fail, and I would not consider any other method to attempt, given the money invested and the payoff from the devices reliable functionality.

I owned an XBox 360 controller to use with my PC until it died. I didnt have any other XBox controllers, but I do have a Wii U with three pro controllers, which are mostly not used unless if there is a party, so I decided to take a chance on this so I could use one of my Wii U controllers and save some money opposed to buying a new XBox 360 or Xbox One controller. Ill first mention there are software solutions for getting a Wii U controller to work with a normal Bluetooth adapter. The software solution consisted of a special Bluetooth management program, a button-mapping program, and an XInput driver program to allow it to be recognized as an XBox controller. In my experience these workarounds are a bit clunky, and it seemed to report the analogue sticks as binary (example: holding up on a stick will report all the way up, or nothing at all. There was no middle-ground or places in between). While there may be fixes to this behaviour and have it work as expected, I wanted something simple. I wanted to to press the sync buttons then expect the controller to just work. Thats why I bought this adapter. This product is basically a dedicated special-purpose bluetooth adapter that maps and works as a gamepad or XInput adapter all-in-one, so everyhing is done in the adapter without the need of extra software configuration (except installing the driver once before you first use it). It took a minute or so the first time for my computer to recognize the adapter (after installing the drivers first) and the Wii U controller, but since then it connects quickly every time I power on my black Wii U pro controller. The first time I connected it one of the analog sticks was reporting as slightly off-center, but that was fixed by calibrating it in the Game Controllers control panel. In the Xinput mode it detects and works as an XBox controller just fine. One thing to remember, other than the different location of the analogue sticks, the A and B buttons are reversed compared to an Xbox controller, as are the Y and X buttons. The map perfectly well, but if youve been using an XBox controller beforehand this will be noticeable. Youll either have to just go with it and adapt, or remap your buttons. So far the adapter has been reliable with connecting and maintaining a connection. I havent had any problems using it as an XBox controller in my games so far, and in other software like Steam and Oculuss home software. The Wii U controller will still go asleep if left idle for too long, so youll have to press a button to wake it up and have it automatically re-connect. Thats to be expected though.

Great for my raspberry pi! I mostly use the pi for homebrew games and this adapter allows me to use the wii-u pro controller with no issues whatsoever. I have not found a better controller for the raspberry pi. I recommend buying this adapter if youre doing any gaming on a raspberry pi and have a wii-u pro controller handy or you have the extra cash to buy the adapter and a controller!

This works really well. My only complaint is what a lot of people have mentioned already. The buttons are switched from what you would use on a 360 controller. This matches up with what is labeled on the controller, but not with what 90% of games will want you to press.

It works perfectly with an official Wii U controller from Nintendo. Unfortunately my 3rd party knock off SNES Wireless Pro Controller for Wii U did not work which was a huge disappointment because thats the main reason why I bought this adapter to use it. My lesson learned is stay away from untrusted 3rd party junk and stick to name branded devices with good user feedback.

Really easy to use right out of the box!! Does exactly what I bought it for and couldnt be happier with this product.

Functioning distance of up to 33 feet away from adapter. Input switch with 2 input protocol modes for extra versatility. Direct input (standard hid protocol) supports 4 controllers at the same time. Xinput (xbox 360 controller protocol) supports one controller per individual adapter. All buttons (except for power button), shoulder triggers, analog sticks and their clicking tops are fully functional. Compatible with Windows 98,xp,Vista and Windows 7 and Windows 8(32 bit and 64 bit versions). Operation notes - how to set the turbo function? To set turbo for individual buttons, press and hold the home button and the button you wish to set turbo for. To remove the setting for that specific button, press and hold the home button and the button you previously set turbo for. To clear all turbo settings for all buttons, quickly press the home button twice within half of a second. If the input switch is set to the direct input mode, the controllers are recognized as standard human interface device. Your controllers can be calibrated at the windows gamepad setup screen. Up to four controllers can be recognized by a single adapter while in this mode. Setting the switch to xinput mode will make it possible to fool certain pc games which lock out proper input modes from the user unless an xbox controller is attached (for a list of these games, check Wikipedia). While in xinput mode vibration feedback is available. The drawback is that while in this mode, only one controller can be recognized by the adapter. If you want to map your buttons to keyboard keys, look for joy2key software online.
