I liked the HDMI compatibility. The sound and picture quality are good.

I had to try many different HDMI adapters for Wii before finding that this one is definitely the best one out there. The random ones from are a hit and miss with varying sound and picture quality. This one on the other hand simply works. It gives an interference free (no annoying diagonal lines on the picture) picture from Wii. The sound works great as well. Definitely recommend getting this one instead of all those cheap adapters out there. Its even smaller in size and feels sturdier.

Seems to be pretty adequate at doing what it is supposed to do: convert the analog signal to digital. This means your TV has to do the work of taking that signal and stretching (scaling) it. Depending on the TV, this could mean the image gets blurry or sharp. It could also mean it adds input lag (latency). But thats the TV, not this device. If your TV has component (red, green, blue, white, and red) inputs and you have the proper cables, this will probably perform the same. If you dont have everything you need for component, though, this will get you the best raw image the Wii can provide.

Works well

Works great right out of the box. Passed both audio and video to HDMI to my 4k TV w/o any issues. Things looked even better when I switched the Wii settings from SD to HD.

Literally, I plugged this into the back of the Wii and plugged the HDMI cable from the TV into and and that was it. Worked perfectly. I bought another converter before this and wasted my time. If you are trying to display Wii games on a smart TV (mine is an 82 Samsung) - you cant beat this. So simple to install.

Have had good luck with Mayflash products in the past, so decided to give this a try instead of a more expensive Retrotink solution. It has a nice form factor that it easy to take with on the go and plugs in easily. There is no audio delay over HDMI like some of the reviews on competing products call out, and there isnt any noticeable input lag with the device. That said, the picture cuts out frequently when setting the resolution on the Wii to 480p, this issue is not present on 480i. After looking into the issue further, it looks like this is an issue with most HDMI adapters when trying to handle a 480p input source. Going to be trying the Retrotink solution after all

The picture was clear with no distortions. It also has a smaller size profile. This is the way to go for an economical solution to connect a Wii to a 4K TV.

Im having a ball with this thing using a backwards compatible Wii and an Mclassic playing GameCube games.

I got both this version as well as the generic wii2hdmi that most are selling, and Ive found out that not all wii to hdmi adapters are created equally. With the generic one, I see more wavy diagonal lines. With the MayFlash, the picture is smoother, the diagonal lines are gone. You need to go to your wii setting and set it to wide screen and 480p. You also need to go to your display source and set it to widescreen as well. Everything looks proportional, the image is not stretched. This is a keeper, the other one is being returned. BTW, I should mention that Im using an ultra short throw projector with a 120 screen. With such a big image, maybe it is easier for me to see imperfections. So that should tell you how good this adapter is. It got rid of the lines I was seeing with the generic version. So on smaller screens, surely this adapter will do a great job for you.
