Once I got the hang of it f the steps they were pretty straightforward. I like the fact that they are compatible with Alexa. I love that you can use them all at the same time especially if they are connected to lamps throughout the house. I’d recommend this product!

I just discovered when the plug is off there’s still a very small amount of power coming out of the plug. I noticed this using one on a string of led Christmas lights. It does it on all four plugs. This doesn’t happen with a couple other brand plugs I have. So now I’m wondering about replacing them with another brand.

Even though I didnt like having to install an app to configure these (I would have rather used the Google Home app), setup was super simple and Google Home integration was flawless. Operation through the app is super quick; Google Home can be a 1-2 second delay.

My wireless router is the newer style that selects 2.4 or 5 GHz automatically. This can be a problem when you have a 2.4 GHz device but no way of choosing that bandwidth exclusively. Your phone must be using the 2.4 at the time that you try to set up the plug via Bluetooth. When your 5 GHz signal becomes weak your phone will automatically switch over to the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. I tried to weaken the signal by covering the router with a foil lined box and going as far away but still within Bluetooth distance of the plug that I was trying to set up but I didn’t have any luck trying this with my iPhone. I did have an old Moto E5 cruise that easily connected to the 2.4 bandwidth so that made set up really easy. I connected the plug to my wireless via Bluetooth and then moved the plug to where I was going to use it. After plugging back in it automatically reconnected so I don’t know what is up with other reviews that mention after power outages you have to reconfigure. I have not had to do this.

This is great that it’s heavy duty to run my 1500 watt space heater, which it said it can operate up to 1800 watts. Only downfall or I at least having found on plug options is to “ turn off after certain amount of time has past”. All my other smart plugs have that option.

I have quite a few of them. Over the time it will fail and need replacement. For those who said not easy to connect you might need to check 1. update your routers firmware or2. just reset the router !

I purchased 4 pack of these plugs and when I started using them one plug was not working. I emailed customer support on a Sunday evening and they got back to me in an hour which totally shocked me. I explained the problem and they suggested how to reset it which did not work. They asked me to send them a video of what I tried which I did and my Amazon order number. It was 2 days later they let me know they were sending out a replacement one. I was extremely impressed with their customer service. I purchased WeMo brand previously , and they did not work and their customer support was garbage they were sent back. Meross you have me as customer for life!! I just order 4 more plugs. Now for the product, price of these plugs are very reasonable and worked way better that I expected after trying WeMo I was very skeptical . They were easy to setup, it took less than a minute using their app and I was up and running. They were relatively easy on the Alexa side, had some issues but I think that was a learning curve. Now no problems at all. You can change the name of your plugs in the Meross app and Alexa picks up the new name very quickly with me making no changes in the Alexia app. I have been using them for 2 months and no problems. I like the Scenario feature in the Meross app which can also be transferred in the Alexa app/device too for even easier setup

I own 20 of these. Of those, 4 have been sidelined for reduced wifi range (not initially, but over time), and 2 for not being able to handle 1500 watt heaters (1800 watts is claimed by the manufacturer). other keywords: burn, melt, fire hazard, amperage, amps, overload.
