> 3 dayI own 20 of these. Of those, 4 have been sidelined for reduced wifi range (not initially, but over time), and 2 for not being able to handle 1500 watt heaters (1800 watts is claimed by the manufacturer). other keywords: burn, melt, fire hazard, amperage, amps, overload.

> 3 dayWow. I honestly didn’t expect much out of these things given they were some of the cheapest smart plugs I could find. Took a gamble and got 3 of them. The iOS app is VERY good. Everything about it is minimalistic, works smoothly, and uses native UI elements. Takes 30 seconds to connect each plug, and it saves your WiFi password so you don’t have to type it in every time you add a plug, which is one of several nice little touches. After spending a long time getting my Philips hue lights to connect to the right bridge, this was a dream. The whole setup process simultaneously has enough options to troubleshoot if something goes wrong, while also being super streamlined and simple to allow you to set up devices quickly. The device itself feels sturdy and the little light on the side is only on when the switch is in the on state, so it won’t bother me at night when all the lights are off. When it turns on/off there is an audible click as the relay inside switches states. It sounds like a quiet flick of a light switch. The routines work well, it’s easy enough to set up schedules for plugs, but it could definitely use some improvement to save time building all the schedules. Currently you create a routine for each plug and for every time you want it to turn on/off. So for 3 plugs to turn on from 7pm-12am it takes 6 routines (3 to turn on, 3 to turn off). It would be nice to be able to control multiple plugs in a single routine and have a selectable range for on/off. Other than that, the routine setup is easy and fires at the right times. I haven’t experienced any connection issues yet, whereas my Philips Hue lights almost regularly display as unreachable.

> 3 dayI bought these for Christmas lights and trees to come on and off at certain times. I have the Meross garage door opener and it works great. These are more of the same. They were simple to setup and they worked every time. I like having them for a specific purpose but if I need some more smart plugs I will probably buy some more. They work as well if not better than my other smart plugs.

> 3 dayThese were quick to set up. I added an evening routine in the app to automatically turn on our Christmas trees and out door lights. I was also able to use Alexa when I wanted to turn things on or off during the day.

> 3 dayIm giving this product a high score - it works very well, has a great integration into Alexa, has an intuitive app to manage and control the switches. Also, although I had a minor installation issue, Id say installation is fairly easy. I have a mesh wireless network in my house and I installed my first smart switch in one of the rooms that is being served by a satellite. Using the app to config the switch, I managed to connect to the switch (through a proprietary SSID it uses for configuration, like many other devices), but as it rebooted it would not connect to my home network. This was frustrating - I kept trying for a few times with no success. I contacted the support (email only) and based on their answer I realized the switch needs to connect to the primary access point controller (it was trying to connect to the satellite). I moved it closer to the primary AP and it got configured. I then moved it to the room where I needed it to be and it worked well. Id recommend this switch - good price and great experience overall with the product.

> 3 dayBegan adding Meross products, both switches and plugs, to the house 2 years ago. We are wrapping up the last few plugs. Really appreciate how simple these are to configure by use of their app. We have had no issue at all with any of the ones which have been installed. Nice that firmware updates are still pushed down on a timely basis.

> 3 dayIve installed and used many different brands of Wi-Fi devices over the years. The Meross brand has done the best job designing and programming their Wi-Fi line of products. They are well made and most importantly, installation instructions are clear, they install easily, and stay connected reliably. Dont waste your money on plugs that make you struggle to get them connected. These are 15A plugs so they work with just about everything and set up is easy with the Meross App or the ubiquitous SmartThings app. I look for the Meross brand whenever I buy electronics that would benefit from being Wi-Fi enabled. And no, I dont work for Meross. Im usually looking for the best prices, but with Wi-Fi products, Im willing to pay a little more for easy reliable connectivity!
