> 3 dayAmazon product for third graders that are learning how to use the dictionary. The paper has great quality. The colors are bright. The definition is great. And the hard cover is just the cherry on top.

> 3 dayOur usual dictionary intimidated my son and the long alternate definitions for some words left him overwhelmed, so we ordered this and thought it would be a great entry level dictionary. It is easy to use and the definitions are short (so that is a plus for usability), but it is missing a lot of words that I think are reasonable to have assumed would be in even an entry level dictionary (for example, words common in current events or science). It is turning out to not be that useful to us, because many words that my 8 year old needs help with are not in this dictionary. It might be more appropriate for my 6 year old learning to read.

Greater than one weekEsta es una excelente opción para niños de entre 7 y 12 años. Este diccionario ofrece imágenes que van acorde con los conceptos descritos en cada página. Es de muy buen material y por lo que veo durabilidad.

> 3 dayI purchased this for my grandson, 2nd grade. The font of the print is perfect for his age. Other dictionaries on our shelf was little over whelming for his search. This edition miraculously inspired him to search for words to create his own sentences without constantly asking me how to spell a word unfamiliar to him. Great choice. Whew!! Relief!! Independence growing!!

> 3 dayI bought this children’s dictionary for my kids. I always had encyclopedia and dictionaries in my house when I was growing up. Everytime my kids ask me what a word means or read books and doesn’t know what a word mean I tell them to look it up just like my mom told me before the Internet and cellphone were popular. I will order another advanced dictionary for bigger words so that my kid’s vocabulary can increase each grade level.

Greater than one weekI ordered this for my sons 10th birthday--his very first dictionary. I loved the concept of it being child-friendly and thought this may help him understand definitions he normally would not be able to comprehend in a regular dictionary. HE. LOVES. IT. It is so colorful and large enough to be able to clearly read it. The pictures help him understand as well, since he is very visual. Definitely a great buy and I will purchase again when my next child is around the same age!

> 3 dayThis book has proven valuable even with a few words missing (no dictionary has all the words, does it?) However, we are using this for homeschool purposes and imagine my surprise, while teaching about writing and Columbus and the Taino people, that the words “rhetoric” and “indigenous” (respectively) do NOT exist in this book. I don’t fault anyone- it’s not like the entire English language could ever fit in here, however, the word “tweet” (as in the tweets you add to your Twitter account) IS listed, so I’m left wondering who prioritized social media over other words. It is still a valuable resource- my children are learning how to research, investigate, critique, and question articles and their “sources”. Today’s journalists don’t even do that today it seems, and my kids are 7 and 4. For that, I’m giving it 4 stars. I’ll review my opinion in a year if anything else surfaces.
