> 24 hourAs all my floors are wooden/tile and a few area rugs I chose a canister over my old shark. I liked that my old shark had a dust cloth attachment with the hard floor attachment but could not find a good vacuum with that. That being said I was getting discouraged with the bagless vacs due to their ability to scatter dust when emptying, and their inability to carry parts beyond 3 years. My last cleaner prior to the 6 year old Shark was a Kirby, and while it was a pain to do hardwood floors, it was simple easy to get fixed (only 3 times due to human error) and it lasted 23 years. I wanted a vacuum that will, hopefully from the reviews, last longer than 6 years and that can get fixed by local vacuum store. I have used this 3 times and so far it works great, on board attachments make getting the mouldings and windowsills dusted quickly; it fits ALL the way under my sofa and the prior one did not. The biggest downfall is the cord is way to short and I must maneuver its locating to do my entire kitchen, living room, dining room, hallways, etc and we have an open floor plan. It is light, easy to store. The rug attachment with the beater brush is fair, however I have to put the suction level on quite low or the beater bar stops moving due to too much suction. Hopefully in [6] months I will let you know if there is less dust in my home and the cleaner stays in excellent working condition

> 24 hourI love this company. Their products are beautiful, well constructed and German…they just make sense. I’m going to be honest here. If you look at the Miele line, all of the first models are suction only. Meaning…there’s no electrical component engaging the telescopic wand or turbo brush. It’s all suction. You need to pay close attention and use a considerable effort keeping the suction at the exact level you need. You can turn a nob, release some in a switch near the handle, or park it for a bit as you get ready to get your octopus suction ready for the next surface. It’s all good if you are young…living in a condo with minimal square footage…and want the German approach to cleaning. You want an electrically driven brush head…period. Unless you live in a marble palace. It’s worth the extra $200-300, no matter what line you take on. The suction is the same. You just want and need some help. If you have crossed over the $400 mark, what’s another $350 or so…get what you want and need. Otherwise, get a mega Kenmore and budget 2-3 in the lifetime of a properly cared-for Miele. I made the mistake and went by budget. Got to the corporate website and look at what you want and need. The filters can be installed and purchased for any model. Get an electric brush and parquet shovel head…and the hand brush for sure. Look at the cost of these things individually. It just makes sense. The bags and filters are superb. Cloth bags. I feel like I’m back in the day. When things were built to last!

> 24 hourI love the weight, maneurverability and suction of this vacuum. However, everytime I clean house, I have to cut the pet hair out of the beater of the floor head to pull the hair out. I did not buy the cat/dog model because it was over $200 more and my Kenmore cannister did not have this problem 70% of our flooring is hardwood and the remainder area rugs. I contacted Miele and there solution was to buy a special attachment. I dont want to use a hand attachment to clean my area rugs.

> 24 hourLove that it’s light weight and easy to carry! It seems to clean my carpets and hardwood well although I no longer have a dog nor do I have children at home anymore so can’t give it the real acid test! Also like that there are onboard tools. And, it’s really cute (that is if you’re in the market for a cute lil vacuum). Dislikes: The cord is way too short! I can really only vacuum one room at a time. I’m guessing it has a short cord because the cord is stored inside and would take up too much room if it was twice the length. I mentioned that I loved that it was light weight but also dislike that it is so light weight it tips over!

> 24 hourThis little vacuum was thoughtfully designed. Since I only have one small area rug with the rest tile, I needed something that would work well for hard surface floor. Previous reviewers mentioned that it was difficult to push on carpet floors because the suction was so strong and I agree. This vacuum is light weight, easy to move around, has a holding place on the vacuum to hook in the cleaning head for storage. The motor vents thru the top of the vacuum as opposed to the back so it doesnt blow the dirt around. My only complaint is that I wish the cord was longer. The rewind is strong and works well. I have no stairs so cant comment on that. I definitely recommend this vacuum for hard floor use.

> 24 hourSo I wondered if the short cord people talked about would bother me, since the company says the length of the cord and the hose make it so much longer... well let me say that the cord is WAY TOO SHORT. As you can see in my photo, it doesnt allow me to go across my kitchen floor, which is not very big, and it cant reach all the way up my staircase. As described, the head is definitely not made for shaggy carpets. The roller bar gets bogged down in the higher pile and I actually have to use 2 hands to push it forward. When you lift the head up the motor starts to rev back up to speed, clearly telling me its been bogged down in the higher pile. So if you think it will work on your shaggy carpet, you will be disappointed. I actually plan to use this at another location where there is only low pile carpets. Despite these shortcomings, this vacuum is amazing at sucking up debris, and it maneuvers so easily, and its fabulous on low pile carpet. The tail end that stores the unused head will definitely make doing wood stairs difficult, because Ill need to remove it to stand it up, so it wont roll off the stairs. So... overall.... I think if you live in a small place, like a small apartment, this cord will work for you. Personally I think I will add a short extension cord to the vacuum because I do love the amazing performance and durability the Miele has.

> 24 hourI wanted a Miele for so long and kept putting off buying one. After my old Mighty Mite died I decided to just go for it and bought this one. I have never loved a vacuum before, but I love this one. Its really lightweight and easy to carry around- its easy to change the attachments without having to bend over and I love that it has a retractable cord. My house is mostly hardwood with some low pile area rugs and it does a great job on both surfaces.

> 24 hourNeeded a new vacuum and I was set on getting a canister unit instead of another stick or upright model. I love this thing. I tried out a Kenmore canister for a month before returning it and getting the Miele. The Miele is superior in every way, there are so many little design details that make using this vacuum enjoyable instead of a frustrating chore.

> 24 hourIt has been a long time since we purchased a new vacuum cleaner and we were worried that it would not be as good as our old one was. It was much better! I recommend this cleaner.

> 24 hourThis was a gift for a 95-year-old homemaker who prides herself on still doing her own housecleaning, and she loves it! A previous vacuum was too much for her to wrestle with, but she reports that the Miele Classic C1 Turbo Team Canister Vacuum Cleaner is easy for her to manage. She has both some wall-to-wall carpet and some runners, and she says the suction adjustment dial works perfectly for her to clean both without the runners being sucked right off the floor. She was also amazed to discover that with the swivel head, she can run the extension tube and swivel head all the way under a full queen size bed. Her children would rather their 95-year-old mother had someone to come in and clean the house for her, but this has turned out to be an excellent next-best choice.
