> 3 dayWe are a retired couple, no pets, little foot traffic. The original bag was in place when it arrived. After vacuuming our small, one story home every other week for less than 2 months, I noticed the red light was on. I checked the bag compartment and saw bag was indeed full with dust around the outside of white seal and fine light layer of dust in compartment. The seal itself seemed to be “ floppy”. I turned vacuum on and saw when the bag expanded the floppiess went away slightly but a very tight seal did not seem to be in place. I also noticed a new “odor” before I saw the red light. I am ordering new bags to see what happens. Otherwise happy with vacuum, but purchased, as everyone does, for the seal. That is priority #1.

Greater than one weekI wanted a Miele for so long and kept putting off buying one. After my old Mighty Mite died I decided to just go for it and bought this one. I have never loved a vacuum before, but I love this one. Its really lightweight and easy to carry around- its easy to change the attachments without having to bend over and I love that it has a retractable cord. My house is mostly hardwood with some low pile area rugs and it does a great job on both surfaces.

> 3 dayFirst off the little canister is so cute, like a little bug. But wow, its powerful. I love that the canister is separate from the hose, makes vacuuming less labor intensive. Great suction, great maneuverability. My husband even loves it and vacuums now all the time.

> 3 dayI have always had dogs and cats. And with them comes a lot of hair, bits of cat little and pet food crumbs. This is usually what I am vacuuming up on a regular basis. I was actually quite disappointed with this vacuum cleaner, especially since its a Miele. The suction is incredible, so much so that it pulls my thin carpets off the floor, even though furniture is on top of parts of the carpet. I have a full size (8x10) washable rug in the living room and this vacuum, even on the lowest setting, refuses to pick anything up from it. It is great for vacuuming up pet hair, leaves, general dirt. However it does not pick up bits of cat litter or small pieces of pet food, rather is just pushes it around. It almost looks like I have not vacuumed when I just had. On the plus side, the vacuum is far better made than any of the others I have owned, moves easily, is compact and is able to be easily tucked away. But the cord is quite short. Im always searching for an ideal vacuum cleaner but it doesnt appear that one exists.

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum about a year ago after searching for one which was not made in China. Mine is made in Germany. So happy. After years with a Dyson, this was so much better. My model uses bags instead of dumping the dirt directly into the trash, so much nicer than breathing in and having to touch all the dirt. The filter is also simple to replace. The suction is excellent. I use the power head to vacuum area rugs as we have no carpeting. We also have many animals running around so I must vacuum common areas every other day. The unit is light and easy to maneuver. I no longer dread schlepping out the vacuum. The blue color is a nice touch. The attachments are sufficient for every job. The price was so much less than the most other models. I highly recommend this product for any of your vacuum needs.

> 3 dayPrice: 4/5 Build Quality: 4/5 Suction: 4/5 Ease of Use: 4/5 Emptying Can: 4/5 Cost of Use: 3/5 Overall this product is very good. I have been using Dyson non-corded vacuums for the last 10 years but decided to go with a corded bag vacuum. I got tired of switching out the batteries for the Dyson vacuums as it has become very costly (and also bad for the environment). I wanted something that would keep it suction power longer. This is my first bag vacuum, but I am quite surprised at how long each bag lasts if you have a medium sized condo. I dont care too much for the color, but other than that, I am pleased overall with the product. It has all of the attachments you need to clean around your home. The only downside that this vacuum has versus a non-corded vacuum is that it takes more time to set up. However, once you get used to it, it wont be a problem. I would highly recommend.

> 3 dayOur air-powered brush stopped turning, YouTubed ST305 diassembly and I found out that theres a flaw that requires you to take it apart and if you dont you can burn out / melt the side bearings with hair getting in there EVEN IF you clean the brush head everytime with a knife. Bad design. Or maybe its normal. Clearly well built, works decently, high priced, bags... you can try to skimp but eh. Iono. Used for 2.5 years and is very powerful. Just downside is it cant really do thick carpet that well, have to pull back only, cant push forward with the brush head since it isnt truly motor powered - only powered by air moving through a ... think water/windmill style front. Expensive but seems good in the ways youd expect it to be performance. Removed 2 star for poor maintenance/design in what I mentioned.

> 3 dayWe have used Miele products for 12+ years and love the results! This is the first time I have purchased this model and it is perfect for a household. Prior to this we used them for residential and vacation rental cleaning business. This is the perfect vacuum for around the house and is very easy to move around (we go from upstairs to downstairs with no difficulty), get under furniture, go from carpet to hard floors and back, and get into the corners of things. It is easy to change the attachments and the improvements to the handle and extension are amazing! Like others have stated, the cord is not anything special in length, but for around your personal house, it is simple enough to change to a different outlet. For the quality of this vacuum, the shorter cord length is not much of a compromise. The electrical of these vacuums also hold up well from past experience and the cord can handle a lot of twists and turns. The color is also super fun! We call our vacuum Brainy like Brainy smurf because it is blue. :) Doesnt disappoint and highly recommend!

> 3 dayWe have been wanting to invest in a good vacuum, and it was finally time for us. We looked at so many reviews of vacuums! Reddit was the most helpful with a thread from a lifelong vacuum repair and sales guy. His two cents was that a bag vacuum will always outperform and outlast a canister vacuum. We had gone through a Hoover, Shark, a cordless Dyson and the Dyson made for animals (we have two dogs)...cant believe how much money weve spent on Dyson - absolute garbage, basically disposable. This Miele is instantly and obviously SO MUCH BETTER. The suction is amazing; we were thinking about purchasing the much more expensive dog and cat version of the Miele, but I honestly think this model is perfect. Our house is pretty small and mostly hardwood - if you have lots of carpet and animals you might be better off with the more expensive model. We did make sure to get the model made in Germany, not in China. The materials, parts, and construction are clearly higher quality than what weve been using. Weve only had it a few weeks, so time will tell, but I presume this will be the last vacuum we buy for a decade or two, and that is how I love my appliances! I highly recommend this vacuum and the distributor/company selling through Amazon was excellent.
