This was a gift for a 95-year-old homemaker who prides herself on still doing her own housecleaning, and she loves it! A previous vacuum was too much for her to wrestle with, but she reports that the Miele Classic C1 Turbo Team Canister Vacuum Cleaner is easy for her to manage. She has both some wall-to-wall carpet and some runners, and she says the suction adjustment dial works perfectly for her to clean both without the runners being sucked right off the floor. She was also amazed to discover that with the swivel head, she can run the extension tube and swivel head all the way under a full queen size bed. Her children would rather their 95-year-old mother had someone to come in and clean the house for her, but this has turned out to be an excellent next-best choice.

This is definitely the best vacuum for hard floors that Ive ever purchased. Since we put in LVP throughout most of our house, I found that the fabulous upright that we had (Riccar) just didnt do as good a job on the hard floors as it did on carpeting, even with the separately purchased floor attachment. However, finding the right Miele canister vacuum for my needs and budget was very time-consuming. I found that it was very difficult to tell if the reviews on Amazon matched a specific model or not. The Miele website was not much better, especially when I tried to determine what attachments went with what model. I wanted to know how effective the turbo brush was and if it was included in the particular models I was considering. What ultimately saved the day was being able to go in person to an appliance store that sold Miele vacuums. Unfortunately, the closest store to me did not happen to have any of the vacuums in stock, but the salesperson was able to print out a comparison sheet of the Classic C1 Turbo Team Powerline (SBANO) and Compact C1 Turbo Team Powerline (SCAE0), both of which appeared to be the best options for hard floors. Since there was about a $100 difference between them, I wanted to see if the extra cost was worth it for the Compact C1. Both appeared to be made in Germany, something that many of the Amazon reviews argued was important. It turns out that their specifications are almost identical. The Compact has a Stainless steel telescopic tube and the Classic has a Comfort compact telescopic tube, but its hard to see the difference. They both have the same operating radius (29 feet) and the same cord length of 18 feet. They take different filter bags, but the Classics bad volume is 4.8 qts. vs 3.7 for the Compact. The only other difference I could tell was that the nominal power consumption for the Classic is 1000 W while the Compacts is 1100 W. Since these differences seemed to favor the Classic, I decided to save $100 and purchase that. The Turbo brush was still a mystery, but both models offered that as well as a Parquet brush. I knew from the Riccar what a Parquet brush could do, and I figured that it would be at least adequate if the Turbo brush wasnt any good. It turns out that the Turbo brush is one of the best features of the vacuum. It makes vacuuming hard floors easier and super fast. I still use the tube by itself for the edges, but rely on the Turbo brush, especially for large areas. As I mentioned in the review title, I have a heavily shedding dog, a Newfoundland, and his hair has yet to cause problems with the Turbo brush. The brush is pretty loud when set at the highest suction setting, and it will not work on my kitchen stress relief mats except on the lowest suction setting. I do a good job vacuuming our bathroom mat with the parquet attachment and the middle to low setting without the mat getting sucked up. One of the reviews mentioned their vacuum bag filled up very fast, but Ive had the Miele Classic for almost three months and the bag has yet to fill up, even with my dog, In conclusion, you dont have to fork out extra money to get a great hard floor vacuum in the Classic C1 Turbo Team PowerLine, and youll probably agree that its definitely worth how much you do spend.

I had this product for almost 3 months. Its light weight, great suction, rolls very easy due to the third wheel. I waited to see just how good this vacume was , and so far I love it. I have had many vacuums over the years and this compares to the orginal Electrolux as far as being well made and performance. Of course there was nothing like the orginal Electrolux. I purchased the throw back Electrolux 7 years ago and it was repaired 2 times and is it now history, thats why I bought the Miele. I always like to try to buy American but now a days most vacs sold are foreign made. I have had some over the years and there not very good. I highly recommend this Vac.

So I wondered if the short cord people talked about would bother me, since the company says the length of the cord and the hose make it so much longer... well let me say that the cord is WAY TOO SHORT. As you can see in my photo, it doesnt allow me to go across my kitchen floor, which is not very big, and it cant reach all the way up my staircase. As described, the head is definitely not made for shaggy carpets. The roller bar gets bogged down in the higher pile and I actually have to use 2 hands to push it forward. When you lift the head up the motor starts to rev back up to speed, clearly telling me its been bogged down in the higher pile. So if you think it will work on your shaggy carpet, you will be disappointed. I actually plan to use this at another location where there is only low pile carpets. Despite these shortcomings, this vacuum is amazing at sucking up debris, and it maneuvers so easily, and its fabulous on low pile carpet. The tail end that stores the unused head will definitely make doing wood stairs difficult, because Ill need to remove it to stand it up, so it wont roll off the stairs. So... overall.... I think if you live in a small place, like a small apartment, this cord will work for you. Personally I think I will add a short extension cord to the vacuum because I do love the amazing performance and durability the Miele has.

Purchased this for my mom as she wanted another Meile. It arrived quickly. Personally Im not impressed. I have 2 Dysons, the one from Christmas 2005, best present ever, an upright that is still going strong and one from 2016 thats the cordless model. The Meile doesnt have the quality of the Dyson design wise and doesnt have the suction power of either of the 2 I own. I would not recommend this sweeper.

Superior machine. Worth the money. Very very strong suction or very quiet soft suction for your delicates. I was told by a cleaning pro that the the separate floor and carpet heads are worth the extra cost and I dont regret going for it.

The Miele Classic C1 Turbo is simply the best vacuum Ive ever owned... and I have used a LOT of different vacuums over the years. It is extremely powerful with great suction; it is easy to operate; it is compact in design; it uses bags (a good thing!) to avoid airborne dust expulsion; it is simple to use, with excellent attachments, and it is easy to clean and maintain. I LOVE this vacuum cleaner and sincerely thank Miele for designing and making it! 5 Stars in every category.

I have had a Miele vacuum before, a used one that I had for about 2 years. When my current vacuum conked out I decided to go with another Miele and love it. My daughter let me use hers when she moved back to NYC. It was about 2 years old when she lent it to me and when she moved back to Seattle, she used it for another 2 years. It is really great on carpets and my my wood floors too.
