Not pleased with this unit. The rollers dont do a good job of picking up pet fur from carpeting. When it does pick it up, it tightly winds around the roller brush and has to be cut out. It does best only with pulling it backwards, not forwards. The amount of drag trying to push the roller brush unit forward will break your back. Sorry I bought it. Save your money and buy something that does actually work.....like a Shark Rotator Lift-Away Pro with DuoClean. I bought that one after this Miele failed me and it is a beast. No hair or fur stays on the roller brush with that Shark. You can buy it right off the shelf at WalMart. This Miele Classic C1 Turbo is a piece of junk and you too will be sorry. I dont understand the good ratings. Must be shills.

Not worth the price. Cord too short. Exhaust blows up toward your face. My 40 year old Kenmore was far superior and way way cheaper. Sorry I bought it.

Good suction, best we’ve seen on a canister. Follows well on hard floors, brush for hard floors is nice - wide and gets up close to the wall - BUT the turbo head is surprisingly really very hard to push on low pile carpet, requires much force (two hands and lower suction) to move it on low pile carpet. The manual and various online videos give no clue of that issue at all. Power level dial seems to have no impact, especially the ‘Ear’ setting for “energy saving” supposedly quiet mode, is not any different in noise level. Came with only one dust bag. Seems a $400 vacuum should come with a HEPA bag, not give you a low end bag out the gate, forcing you to buy an aftermarket HEPA bag. Every new vacuum I’ve bought or shopped for in the last 20 years came with a HEPA bag. Why would the consumer NOT want a HEPA bag? Not good for carpet, excellent for bare floors.

We have used Miele products for 12+ years and love the results! This is the first time I have purchased this model and it is perfect for a household. Prior to this we used them for residential and vacation rental cleaning business. This is the perfect vacuum for around the house and is very easy to move around (we go from upstairs to downstairs with no difficulty), get under furniture, go from carpet to hard floors and back, and get into the corners of things. It is easy to change the attachments and the improvements to the handle and extension are amazing! Like others have stated, the cord is not anything special in length, but for around your personal house, it is simple enough to change to a different outlet. For the quality of this vacuum, the shorter cord length is not much of a compromise. The electrical of these vacuums also hold up well from past experience and the cord can handle a lot of twists and turns. The color is also super fun! We call our vacuum Brainy like Brainy smurf because it is blue. :) Doesnt disappoint and highly recommend!

Believe the reccomend vacuum per living space recommendations. I bought the vacuum thinking it would be fine for an 1800 sq ft house that is mostly carpeted. It works great but unfortunately I have to change the bag every time I vacuum the house. I have two non shedding small dogs, two shedding women (hair) and old carpet old carpet which seems to be too much. This is not a complaint on the vacuum, just an opinion on what it can handle. I would definitely recommend buying a unit with a powered beater bar (brush) for any size carpeted area.

This is the first Miele product I have purchased. I love this vacuum! It is very quiet compared to my old upright which just screamed when in use. The suction is very strong and easily adjustable. I love how lightweight the main unit is and how easy it is to adjust the telescopic handle. I can get under beds, the couch, and other pieces of furniture without having to add additional hose pieces or lift the furniture up! My husband is very pleased with the unit as well. He is actually able to vacuum the ceiling vent in the bathroom without a struggle. Wonderful product!

I bought this to replace a 12-year-old Kenmore that had developed a bad cord. I will be surprised if this thing lasts 2 years. It feels cheap. The cord is very short. It’s probably fine for an apartment, but it’s much too short for an American house. Guess I’ll need a good 10A extension cord.

I previously had an upright stain. My dyson was always getting repaired at the warranty dyson shop near me. Once it was out of warranty it broke again and so I bought this Miele. I chose this model specifically because of its relative, lower price point and that it came with a carpet wand and separate hardwood floor wand in addition to an upholstery accessory. I feel like any and all vacuums should come with these standard. I was disappointed that I have to order a Miele 30 hepa air filter since the vacuum doesn’t come with one.... for a $360 device that’s a shame. I am concerned about this device using bags instead of a canister. I have a cat and a dog so let’s see how many bags I go through and if this device is more reliable than the dyson. EDIT: I just lowered my review. The cord is terribly short. Since I know how to work with electronics, I am just going to cut the cord and make mine bigger. For a $400 vacuum, I am a bit annoyed. Edit: 3 years later... the vacuum still functions like new. I am giving it one more star! ****
