This was an add on for the gate that I didn’t think I needed but am I glad I purchased it. Very easy to install. At night when you touch it all the numbers light up with a warm red glow so it is easy to use. Mainly purchased this for friends to get in if I don’t know there coming over. Happy with the purchase. Although this is a wireless system I went ahead and hardwired it so I wouldn’t have to replace batteries. Just sayin

Our first keypad lasted about 7 years. This was a replacement and seems to be working fine. No problems at all.

Terrible product! It works....sometimes! Has a hard time signaling the receiver to open the gate. Works correctly maybe one out of ten times.

The Mighty Mule gate mechanism as well as the keypad both work very well. Feel it was well worth the purchase price.

If you mistype the code you have to wait 30 seconds before you can type it again! REALLY! So if your guest misses a button or the keypad doesnt register the press (as both ours often do) they are left confused as to why the gate code doesnt work. This is a junk product. Not work the money. I threw both ours in the trash and installed a garage door opener board and used garage door keypads instead. You will have nothing but trouble with the this remote. It will frustrate guests and family alike. Avoid at all costs, Mighty Mule no longer provided terminals inside the keypad to run power from the control panel, you can ONLY use batteries. Sure most people will use batteries for convenience, but a good portion have already run wire out to where the keypad will go to ensure the keypad will still work when the battery fails. We all use remotes here, so the keypad gets very little use. Invariably the one time it is needed the battery will be flat.

I am a little disappointed in this keypad. When I put in my gate I had originally wired to install the keypad as a wired unit thinking it would be secure and would keep me from having to use batteries in the keypad. Now that I have it I realize I was wrong. The keypad still runs off its batteries even when direct wired to the gate controller that has its own batteries and solar charger. From a security standpoint I am only using it in wireless mode now. I had hoped the pad would send some type of secure-ish signal to the opener but it is actually just a dry contact switch like what you would have on an inside garage door opener. I realize its just a drive way gate and we arent talking Fort Knox type security but some type of proprietary signal between the keypad and the controller would be nice. Anybody with a pocketknife could open the gate if they had knowledge of how it works when wired.

I replaced the old one. Loved that the new version beeps when you press the keys. Very helpful so you know if your actually hitting each key properly.

I am surprised by the negative comments about mighty Mule customer service. I have always gotten through on the phone pretty darn fast and have always gotten helped by the most patient people. My FM137 keypad has begun to be corroded from weather, installed in 2015. So ordering 2 more. Will update this review if I run into problems, but I dont expect to.

This is a replacement keypad because the previous one quit working. I was happy to purchase this unit for half the cost of other sites.
