I bought these for the temperature moreso than the hygrometer. After having them up for a while, I can think of so many uses for them! I chose these ones because they were cheap enough to get with my remaining amazon credit. I only have a window AC and a small space heater in my bedroom, and I had to keep the temperature above 60F during the cold freeze in order to keep my dwarf hamster from possibly going into torpor (a kind of emergency hibernation due to coldness or illness that can be fatal for the hamster.) As you can see, the temperature reading is very small, and you cant really read it unless youre looking straight at it, but it worked well enough. I was able to calculate during the cold wave the duration Id have to leave my heater on in order to keep the temperature at 65F. I live in Louisiana so the cold wave didnt last long, but this really saved me a lot of anxiety. I have two in the room on different sides and they always read slightly different temperatures (because one side has a draft) so Im confident about their accuracy. I also didnt realize how useful knowing the humidity would soon become. Since the humidity is easy to read Ive found myself making certain observations... My night sweats are the worst when the humidity is over 80, and my allergies are worst when the humidity is below 60, etc. Ive noticed the different ways my body will feel based on the fluctuating humidity. (It is naturally very humid here, but my AC rapidly takes a lot of the humidity out of the air, therefore the wide fluctuations.) I can see the extreme usefulness of these for people keeping animals or plants that require a certain humidity level! One of them sticks on my hamsters tank so I can really imagine anything in a tank etc that needs to be kept humid will benefit from this hygrometer. I even figured out how to keep the temperature in both sides of my room slightly different so that I can be cooler while my hamster is warmer.

These temp/humidity gauges are perfect for what I need them for, my praying mantis enclosure. So beautifully simple & cheap, but not poor quality! These are very sturdy & very easy to place due to being small. But not so small that you cant read the screen. They are perfect.

Worked and lasted a while

I use several of these to monitor humidity inside musical instrument cases. I occasionally check their calibration using hydrated potassium carbonate as a standard, and I have never found one more than one percent high or low. Allowing for the value of the four spare batteries if you bought them at a drugstore, the devices themselves are almost free!

They are perfect for small spaces like ledges, book shelves, window sills, and theyre portable. Give them a couple of days to adjust to being used at first. They are sometimes a little hard to read so place them where the light is right for you to see. Im happy with these cute informative little things, and surprised at their accuracy. Always within a degree or two of the big $50 one and other sensors around the house. Ordering more for that and their portability.

Works as described. Mine were about 5 degrees off on temperature and humidity. Battery life was meh at about 6 months of 24/7 operation. Decent product for the price. Simple to use and easy to read display.

Alot of reviews show 2 very different readings. That seems to happen when you move them or touch them etc. But if you set them down and leave them for a few minutes they even out because mine are basically identical and work just fine.

This works well and for the price you cant go wrong.
