Mungyo Gallery Soft Oil Pastels Set of 48 - Assorted Colors

I’m new to oil pastels & happen to watch someone on YouTube using this brand. I wanted so much to copy what she was making & she told exactly what colors she used to create her artwork! Of course, she had the 72 colors & it wasn’t available but I’m still happy with this! The colors are so beautiful & so soft! It’s so much easier to blend than I thought. I love it!

Ive never used oil pastels before so I dont have any thing to compare them to. However from my experience they are creamy, vibrant and easy to blend. I use paper stumps for blending and they work great. Some people complained about them shredding, I found that it happened some if I pressed too hard. Otherwise it didnt. I feel if you are just starting out with oil pastels, this is a good product to start with.

I bought this as a gift for my niece. She is 13 and really liked them. I have no clue how they feel or the quality of them so my rating is just based off her reaction to opening the gift.

Im so happy that I was able to get these for about $20. Theyre soft, they blend well, and the colors are vibrant. Id recommend these to anyone who is interested in trying oil pastels as well as artists who are already familiar with the medium. In my opinion, its worth spending a little extra money to get a good product than to buy cheap beginner pastels that are really just glorified wax crayons. I cant recommend these enough. Im very happy with this purchase, and I plan to buy more from this brand when my current set starts running low.

Im so happy I purchased this, Im no artist, just learning, but I bought before another popular and cheap,brand and was so dissapointed, couldnt blend them,at all. These are so different, so buttery, I purchased the 48, as soon as I can I will,get the bigger one. Beautiful pastels at an affordable,price.

it is my first time to use oil pastels, a lot of fun :) very nice Oil Pastels soft and easy to blend, really good for beginners .

Had a change of heart on these. So soft! The trick is to use them in a warm room, or to wam them up a bit before use by placing the open box on a sunlit window. Blend beautifully. Make sure you are using them on a thick toothy paper, flat paper wont take too many layers. Beautiful colors. Wish they were presharpened but thats ok.

These are MUCH better than I expected! These are like Senneliars! They’re very creamy, bendable and vibrant. On heavyweight paper they did not crumble in the least and when layered a few times feel just like oil paints. With proper paper, blending oil, and lacquering between some layers, these could easily be used professionally. It’s annoying that you cannot order colors individually, and I wish you could order some in larger sizes. Still, stock up on a few hundred and it’s still cheaper than buying a starter set of “professional” oil pastels.
