The pastels are great, but I wish they came in a sturdier box. The box was a little damaged when it arrived, which is not surprising considering it was packaged in a plastic bag with no protection whatsoever.

If youve seen oil pastel drawings on Youtube especially those from South Korea, youll notice that they all tend to use this set. So I was curious myself and decided to buy it to try out. As a beginner, the number of colors is exciting to see. Theyre very creamy and easy to blend. They do leave behind little crumbs but not as bad as cheaper pastels of course. They are very small (this is my first oil pastel set so not sure if theyre usually this small) but I think theyll be able to last me a long time. The con is that I cant find replacement sticks, so I will either find a different brand or buy a brand new set.

My first time trying to seriously get into oil pastels. These babies are so soft and glide on your material SO smoothly!! Theyre so satisfying to work with. Very therapeutic activity. The colors are beautiful. The range is comfortable enough that youre not overwhelmed by the variety of colors, but youre also not limited. I think its the perfect set for someone wanting to test the waters with this medium. Im not a professional nor an expert, but I genuinely feel like Im working with something more pricey when I use these. When I have the time Ill definitely buy more colors from Mungyo! What a gem.

I had not used pastels in years, favoring watercolors then colored pencils. These exceeded my expectations and I can see the wood case set in my near future. The only negative would be how the product shipped, in its original box with sleeve, unprotected. To be fair it was listed in the description and I didnt have s problem with that so much as the sleeve slid off when I picked it up and the pastels almost came out of the box. I honestly dont know how they got here and not have half broken or missing. It would be great if they would tape the open sleeve ends before shipping. Just so you know.

My first set of oil pastels. And, to say the least, wow! The variety of color is splendid, simply splendid! Ive used oil pastels before but, never owned any, and the ones I have used were really odd, and really oily, unlike these. The set comes in a nicely compact storage tray and a foam covering to protect the pastels. On the inside of the lid, a handy map of the various pastels. These no drop shavings either which make for easy pastel work.

After doing some research, I bought these oil pastels because of the reviews and price point, and Im glad I did! Since I dont have much experience with oil pastels, I didnt want to splurge on high end pastels, but I didnt want cheap pastels and not get decent results. These pastels are extremely smooth, vibrant, and easy to blend! The only reason why I knocked off one star is because it takes a couple layers to get enough color on the paper to blend out and it does pill a little bit. However, I wouldnt hesitate to purchase these again because the quality is great for the price!
