I changed the impact setting for various projects and the larger knob makes activating the spring loaded punch easier to use.

It work great(?) and its comfortable but its performance is extremely average and kind of a less that what youd probably like unless youre using it exclusively on tin

I purchased this tool for its intended purpose, to make indentations in wood or stucco for precise placement of screws. No more guesswork! But I found another great use for the center punch. I like to reuse plastic containers from grocery stores for growing small succulents (containers from Philadelphia cream cheese work especially well), and I use the punch tool for precise spacing of drainage holes on the bottom of the container. I punch each spot twice to make enough of an indentation and finish making the hole with an awl. Much better than poking the hole with just the awl, which can crack the plastic. Green thumbs, rejoice!

Very effective. I only need 1 punch for aircraft aluminum. 2 punches and Ive never had a bit wander.

I was a bit worried when reading about the comparisons of this center punch against the other really good ones. Just want to say this thing works, no issues, it just works. Recommended.

What I needed works as should.

People that like this must be using it on aluminum or wood , even on 1/8 steel it makes barely a mark, tried adjusting it with no luck, very weak punch compared to my old one that stopped working, you can barely feel it click, waste of money if you work with steel

First, I received these later than expected. The packaging was horrible and dirty. The stamp container was very dirty & greasy, as well as completely BROKEN and all of the stamps were loose in the bag. The letters on the stamps do not look clear at all. I still have to try them out AFTER i clean them to see if the impressions are legible.

This is a must have for every craftsman. 1rst class tool.
