This 16-Port Gigabit Switch fills my wired Ethernet network needs perfectly. I had an earlier Netgear ProSAFE 8-port Gigabit switch that suddenly stopped working. I used my Prime to get this switch delivered right away and then contacted Netgear about the failed switch. To my delight, the customer service representative confirmed by email that my older switch was covered by a lifetime guarantee. I received a free replacement that was sent by FedEx, and only had to pay the return shipping on the defective unit. With that kind of guarantee, and quick response from courteous customer service personnel, I couldnt be happier with my experience with Netgear.

Greae value for money. Grear and simple product.

The unit was DOA. Tested it by checking with two different ethernet cables - plug each end into a port (this should cause the ports to light up and flash). Netgear support confirmed this and are sending me a new one (thats why they got the second star).

I have had this 8 port unmanaged switch for over a month. There is nothing to setting it up. Plugged my Ethernet lines into it, supplied power, and everything worked. No muss, no fuss. If this changes, Ill let you know.

Very good experience.

I was between this and the TP-Link 8-port, but the reason I settled on Netgear is their spec sheet indicated 16gbps internal switching capacity! TP-Link was unknown or a maybe, and I tried looking for the specs.

What can you say, Its a great switch and does the job well. I was looking for a manageable switch and this one was right up my alley. My next switch will have sfp ports for my NAS system .
