This was a purchase to replace a failing switch and it worked just like it should.

Very easy setup. Switch works perfectly.

After purchasing 5-port switches for a facility over which I have responsibility, I also purchased this 8-port switch for home use to reconfigure our computer set-up in the house. All ports worked just fine, speed was excellent - what else could I want except a good price? And I got that as well. I had occasion to call tech support prior to the purchase because Im not a network guy, and the tech was excellent. Entirely pleased with every aspect of the transaction and equipment.

My home had CAT5 (or 6) connections in the rooms, but we didnt have a router (always relied on wifi). Now working from home, I wanted wired Ethernet connections to speed up a couple of work processes. This inexpensive router is working beautifully!

5 port switch got full. This allowed expansion. A plus is the same wall wart power supply feeds both, so I didnt have to crawl under the desk.

We had no room on our AT&T router for more ethernet ports! This product is working wonderfully to add all our smart home devices and not have to have a separate router that may interfere with the original one. We had two routers and our wifi signal was taking a hit. Makes life so much easier!

I buy it to replace an old Netgear EN116 (16-port 10base). Instead of any improvement, the unit drops our download speed 50% !!!! I test it in 2 different locations with the same poor result. So, I just repack it send it back for refund.
