> 3 dayI have several of the 8 and 5 port versions and they work very well. I use them to connect several 10/100 IP cameras to a single GB conection to a GB wireless router port.

> 3 dayNetgear 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch We have Eero wifi and are very happy with it, but several of our devices (desktop, printer, etc) require a direct ethernet connection to the network. The Eero wifi only has a single output plug which means we needed a splitter switch. This Netgear was so easy to set up--literally plug-and-play without having to do a single other thing. ~ Ana Mardoll

Greater than one weekJust plug it in and go. This is an approved switch for the ReadyNAS Duo that I have, and it works flawlessly with it. Also works with a Macbook Pro running 10.6, an Airport Extreme router, a PS3, an Xbox 360, a DirecTV HD DVR and a Panasonic Plasma (for VieraCast). Apparently this has the same chipset as the GS108 so the speeds are the same. The only differences are the materials (this one is plastic, the GS108 is metal) and whether you want front ports (the GS108) or rear ports (this one). I went with the GS608 because it went into an entertainment system cabinet and I wanted rear ports and to see the status lights without pulling the cabinet away from the wall. Keep in mind there is NO CONFIGURATION on this model. If you need to set traffic priority (for example, voice and video receive a higher priority than web surfing) you should look at the GS108T. And this model cannot be stacked because of heat dissipation. If you need to place two or more together you have to use the supplied stands to place them in a vertical orientation next to each other.

> 3 dayThis switch is the best I have had. It worked first time right out of the box with my MAC and PC environment. It auto finds the highest level it can work at and hold it solid. Highly recommended!!!

> 3 dayThis is a great little router and is awesome for the price, but seems to have an issue where some NICs that initially connect at 1000 Mbps will drop to 100 Mbps for no reason. Plugging the NIC in question into any other port on the switch will allow the NIC to connect at 1000 Mbps, but plugging it back into its old port will cause it to reconnect at 100 Mbps. This behavior continues until you power cycle the switch, at which point the NIC connects at 1000 Mbps again. Dont misunderstand, this isnt a big deal, just a bit of an annoyance - when you notice a port thats supposed to be green has gone yellow, it means its time to power cycle the switch. Ive had to do this, on average, about once every two months or so.
