Works great with my Kirby Amiibo in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. It works with 3DS, 3DS XL, and 2DS. My only complaint is that at times its a little slow at reading the Amiibo, but aside from that its really good. The batteries were a great addition and came in handy. If you have an Amiibo but not a New Nintendo 3DS or a Wii U, I highly recommend this.

i hope that they will make this NFC reader/writer compatible with the Nintendo switch is released. so far i have no complaints about this product except for that a family member gave me the new Nintendo 3ds as a Christmas present just weeks after purchasing this item.

Use it for amibos on my 3ds! Super awesome product. Ive had a couple of times where the scanner wouldnt pair to the 3ds, but never when Ive set it on a table. Minor enough to not bother me at all.

Works as intended and arrived as it should have. My niece loves it, she can use Amiibo on her Nintendo 3ds now.

Seems to do exactly what the kids needed it to. Price on Amazon was the best at holiday time compared to stores. I like that it is compact in size.

I have not used this Nintendo NFC reader, but have it as a Nintendo collection item for my future game room.

It came very fast and well packaged. This item is very useful if you want to have NFC on your old Nintendo device. It works fast and batteries last for a long time.

Im so glad this gadget exists that I dont have to buy the upgraded 3DS. If you want to use amiibos for your 3DS xl now you can.
